I recently bought a men's wallet from Amazon. Within 5 days , we have the Boxing day sale. The initial purchase price was ~50AUD. It is now priced at $30. Should I return it even though used for ~4 days and order a new one?
Should I Return a Used Wallet and Order New One if Purchase Price Decreased within 7 Days in Amazon?

Amazon pretty clearly told me that it was not possible last time I tried this, but after a few minutes they said that "this is a one off" but they credited my account for the difference.
I just watched an interesting Adam Conover video about how free returns are thrown in the trash. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EdL85EP7s5M Maybe try and get a partial refund.
I wonder if it's different for Aus? Or maybe just for bigger ticket items? Amazon warehouse products are just returns.
Yes, return it, with $20 cash inside it.
Just order the new one and return it as the old one. (i.e. keep the old wallet and keep the new price).
That's actually a great idea. Surely an unopened return has much less chance getting binned
Really good idea. I will try that. It solves the issue with my conscious as well as I am returning back the new item without opening. I get the difference
Wow
yeah, so petty?
sir, it is ozbargain.
Also touching on fraudbargain.
Bro.. you for real? Where do you see the fraud here?
There are many places that do price matching if price drops within a certain number of days.
I can see clearly why the rich gets richer and poor stays poor just by looking at your comment.Amazon also has a return policy here. The item we are talking here can be returned until Jan 31st even if used. In such a case, I pay $7 fine and can be returned.
@welcomeUniverseWorld: Your right, the original purchase should be returned for a refund through Amazon returns or at least have a conversation with Amazon about the matter and which might work out favourably, not deceive the seller that you’re sending the same item back that was purchased for a financial advantage.
As for being rich that doesn’t make it ok to take advantage of a company because “they can afford it”
See this post from link of your recent post.
If the item is sold by a third party seller via FBA, they lose out non refundable FBA fees, thus please don't do this to third party seller. A wallet is estimated around $5.
I believe you may be eligible for a partial refund (difference between your purchase price minus current sale price) if the price drop happens within seven days. I suggest you reach out to Amazon customer service before returning the item and ask if they can provide a refund.
