Hisense PX2-PRO UST Projector Ultra Short Throw $2749.99 Delivered @ Costco (Membership Required)

130

Amazing price for what was joint no 2 in the recent UST 2023 projector test by Projectorscreens.com
RRP ~$4K

Rated at 2400ANSI, but apparently on a calibrated basis has similar brightness levels to the L9H series which is 3000ANSI (but bundled with screen).

Bought this after tossing up between Formovie Theatre, AWOL-3000 bc of price point. Also allowing me to purchase a 120" Fresnel screen (the L9H package is a standard Lenticular ALR Screen which doesn't deal with light coming from the side)

Good luck folks - Have received great deals here on Ozbargain in the past, and thought I would give back

Looked at that website's ranking, where is the LG and Samsung?

    • Samsung is old tech - doesn't compare - the LG would need the 915 to compare

I purchased one of these as my first projector about 3 months ago [$3.6k]. I still haven't set up the screen and have been projecting the image straight on the wall in a dark room. While I'm sure the image quality isn't up to OLED quality, I'm very happy with the image quality I'm getting projecting a 120" image. The only problem I have with it is how low you have to mount the projector without having the screen too high [for my tastes]. ATM I just have the projector sitting on a 225mm high cardboard box, but want to bring it down around 150mm-175mm.

  • How good are UST on a blank white wall? Or is it a complete waste of you aren't going to use a screen. Mainly for viewing at night

    • Depends on the wall.
How flat, what the white surface is like etc.

Even a very cheap screen will likely be better

In a dark room, it looks reasonably good to my eyes.

Here is a photo of my Hisense PX2-PRO projecting onto a plain wall [no screen].

Same but during the day, room is still reasonably dark though.

  • Which screen did you pair it with OP?

    • Looks like OP has paired this with a Fresnel screen

      • Where to buy these from?

    • 120" Fresnel on the way - FScreen

  • You must have an ALR screen if you're going to use this in anything but a very dark environment.

  • sold out while I was doing the research. saved $2749.99.

    • Looks in stock when I look at it, maybe your haven’t saved yet.

      • log into your account and it will show OOS

  • Any Chance they would have stock in-store?
