"Alternative to the UE Wonderboom but with USB-C."
by alternative if you mean "little speaker" you are right.
sorry but design wise it seems like a downgrade from the Wonderboom to me. just watched a teardown of the JBL it has 1 x 1.5 inch speaker driver and 1x oval shaped passive radiator both on one side only.

(from JBL spec sheet: Transducer: 43 x 47mm/1.5" - the non square measurement is the passive transducer)
Wonderboom has 2x 1.5 inch speaker drivers and 2x oval shaped passive radiators both on opposing sides. so Wonderboom should have 360 sound and twice the output.
but then again JBL Go is half the price. ¯_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯
Wonderboom was $64 shipped here with $10 newsletter sign up. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/821602
there was also a 20% Target cashback for a few hours only on the 23rd. I got FOMO and missed out on that.
edit: according to Rtings the Wonderboom 3 gets 7dB louder than the Go 3. frequency response looks similar but JBL Go 3 seems to hit 150hz slightly louder but drops in bass output and rolls off quickly after that. Wonderboom 3 is slightly quieter at 150hz but digs down deeper in bass till about 95hz before it drops in bass and rolls off.
