good for blocking
blocking females?
These are pretty much indestructible and the battery lasts many years. I got mine a couple of years ago and it looks practically brand new (and I have been abusing mine)
I have been abusing mine
Reported to digital welfare team 😂
You are not supposed to shelve it
Prefer this to the bulkier A168.
Just be aware the light in the A158 is rubbish but I didn't buy it for night time.Paid $27 a few months ago but probably as cheap as they'll go now.
great for children
Not sure why this was getting downvoted.
I had digital Casio as my first watch when I was a kid and it was great.
I had a Timex Indiglo I found in a public toilet.
Ewww
@georgedn: Not in the toilet bowl. But still pretty ewww, yeah.
@AustriaBargain: Someone took it off their wrist for some “me time” in the toilet
Plastic resin Casios would be better for children to knock about, not sure of any that would order this.
Gave my 8 year old daughter a f91w. Looks very well sized on her and she loves it and all the famous people who have worn it.
obama and osama and yo mama
In fact, my grandpa would love it more!
$109 isn’t the typical price
grail
Cheers, cheap birthday present sorted
$36 is the real RRP, I bought mine for $20 in Japan.
No it's not, but it's what they should be, usually obtainable for under $30-60. All these cheap Casios have seen crazy inflation in the last 5y.

$22.95 USD. I don't know why they've priced it so high in Australia - but just pointing out that it isn't a crazy deal like it might seem to be. Can buy it normally for $30-40 inc. shipping from international stores.
Ah yes, assumed you were talking about the AUS RRP. Mine was $27.60 Aug 2023 Amazon AU so just have to wait for a reasonable deal. Although I've noticed the other models like the AE1200 aren't even coming down to their previous best prices in the last 2 years. All the watch collectors are grabbing them.
Even Amazon US is sometimes cheaper but don't seem to get free postage easily and have to buy a couple (but could easily sell them off). Aus is a rip off for most stuff as we know (but salaries are more than in the US).
@G-rig: Isn't it often cheaper to buy an F91W without Casio written on it? E.g. no name
Given they are all reproduction, maybe it's the same as a Casio-produced model, anyhow? Or are they all chinese rips now?
OTOH, where is the novelty in wearing a fake without any screen-printed 'CASIO'
EDIT: Can't find any A158WA without branding, but surely they exist!
@resisting the urge: No idea about those mate but I wouldn't bother with a fake if these Casios are so cheap to start with. You can get skmei or whatever they are from Ali. Some people rub off the writing on some models for a clean look like the silver ae1200.
@G-rig: Indeed. But here's an A158W with Casio printed on it at half the deal price! only $16.99!
@resisting the urge: I bought a cheap A158WA on ebay for around $16 with monthly $5 discount ebay coupon and ended up being $11.
I probably bought a fake to be honest but I can't tell until it's arrived. How to check original vs fake?
@resisting the urge: Worth a go that's what they used to cost, and I wouldn't have bothered buying it if ocee $30 or something. They probably import in bulk, just check the reviews. If eBay plus free returns.
I have the A159. Its same but different. Made in Japan.
Says who? What if you find another female nerd who's also wearing one?
Leave some chicks for the rest of us!!!
Who says he is into chicks, could have birth control covered.
@G-rig: who says he is he?
@Champ888: The username gave it away, and I'm no Columbo.
I dunno, that sounds like a thing that might be unique to you…
For when your style is 1983 and you want a watch to match
Ever heard of something called retro?
FYI, this watch can have its board swapped out for a little computer: https://www.sensorwatch.net/
I'm a fan, though I reckon the A164 looks better than the A158.
Very subtle differences, you must like the blue around the bezel. How much is the A164? Won't be easily available or as cheap. Just get the one that's the cheapest (I didn't like the extra height and size of the A168 or the bracelet).
Additional symmetry for me :)
I bought it from Amazon Japan for ~$AU24: https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/Collection-Standard-Digital-Wr…
But postage is high; I bought it along with a couple of other watches, which made it more palatable. One of those was actually an A158, for ~$AU14:
https://www.amazon.co.jp/%E3%82%AB%E3%82%B7%E3%82%AA-CASIO-%…
And a F84W for extra retro:
https://www.amazon.co.jp/-/en/Collection-Standard-Digital-Wr…(note that Amazon JP is a little opaque in whether postage can be combined for different items, so watch out for that)
Sounds like you got it sorted. Barely wear this one. Got an an army green ae1200, G-Shock square and GA2100 (both solar and BT) so that's enough!
is this similar?
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/293111066204I remember seeing a video about fakes. probably worth checking out first if u want one of these.
Still got my yellow plastic one from 1985, still working. Retro.
Amazing battery life! Are you sure you're not looking at the sticker.
Is there a gold colour ver?
These new models would be alright
