My cousin purchased one and he’s very happy with it.

Can also be used as a weapon.
I mean yes but as far as gaming laptops go that's not too unreasonable.
Is your cousin vinnie?
Hi cuzzie 👋
what's with these laptops with crap 20X0 cards all a sudden, did manufacturers unlock some basement they forgot about pre-covid or what
Yeah, it’s certainly not ideal for hardcore gamers. My cousin @v1nn1e purchased it for work, not gaming.

NVIDIA cut clearance deals on the remaining RTX 2000 stock because there are warehouses full of 3050's and 3060's awaiting to be dumped in the 2024 budget models
Look forward to @Brrrrt having fun shooting down all the garbage MSI and Gigabyte deals
one would hope Ozbargain is educated enough to skip trash gaming hardware, but "it's ok for the price" is an argument that's hard to beat
keeps used hardware market alive lol
😉
Great for my needs but is the I5 future proof for next 5 years ? I'm seeing I9's out there .
This is Gen12…the latest is Gen 14. Windows 11 will receive updates for the next 5 years.
As for future proof, there aren't any Technology products that will be future proof. :(
Yep, not even 4K was future proof. Remember when the early adopters were caught out by HDCP 2.2? I had to tell people they couldn’t watch 4K content from an external device on a 4K TV that only supports HDCP 1.4 LOL. Some tough conversations were had to say the least.
1 SSD slot, 45% ntsc screen.
Nothing else at this price, so if you have a 900$ budget, sure. Otherwise, budget 1-1.1k 3060/4050 machines eat a 2050 alive if you can wait for a sale.
Of course, it’s a no-brainer purchasing a laptop with those specs at that price. I guess it’s about what’s available at the time.
Excellent price!
Funny every brand keep releasing 2050, 3050 laptops, but hardly any more 3060 ???
👍
