FWIW the last couple of times I've used this deal I haven't been charged. It's up to the government/ATO to go after them to collect GST, so without while it lasts.

Yeah that's the kicker. More worth it if you buy a bunch of things or something fairly expensive (although IIRC in the past deals people have commented that pricier item sales ended up being rejected).
Does anyone know if the "reserved" items that will be shipped at later dates get to keep the free shipping promo?

They put their prices up on Gundam pretty badly this year so the free shipping is baked in. But still probably cheaper than local options.
