    • My experiences said no issue.

  • Will CBA $10 cashback for $100 spend on Kogan work for Kogan mobile? does anyone know ? thanks~~~

    • +1

You’ll be completing the purchase on Kogan.com so I would say yes.

    • Where are you seeing this $10 cashback for $200 spend on kogan? Is it targetted? I dont seem to have that cba yellow offer TIA

      • i think it's targeted!

    • Most like so, just make sure you spend the $100 spend.

  • Just bought and tried to activate esim scanned qr code for it to say cant activate lol gotta love kogan

    • Had that issue before due to too many eSIMs on one device. Which brand of phone are you with Apple/Samsung (Android) etc?

Apple devices can take up to 24 eSIMs before it starts giving you errors, and Android devices usually are capped at 8 eSIMs.

      • SIM sluts prefer iPhone

  • Been waiting for their yearly sale to recharge for 2024. Thanks for the heads up!

    • Ordered. Got a nice bonus too seeing RewardsGateway (for those who have it through work) giving 8% off Kogan eVouchers

  • Accidentally bought esim instead of physical sim. Phone doesn’t support esim. Does anyone know if the “esim voucher code” would work if I were to get a physical sim and activate it?

    • I have bought these plans before, both physical SIM and eSIM.

When you purchase one of these voucher codes, you have two options, eSim & Physical Sim. However, both come with a "voucher code" which works regardless of whichever sim card you bought when buying the plan.

      To make this more simple:

      • If you selected eSIM: You would receive an eSIM voucher with a QR code + Kogan Mobile Voucher Plan
      • If you selected physical SIM: You would receive a physical SIM shipped to your postal address you provided + Kogan Mobile Voucher Plan
      • NOTE: The Kogan Mobile Voucher plan again is dependent on which size you got, Small, Medium, Large or XL

In your situation, I'd contact Kogan Customer Care (Customer Service) to get a physical SIM. They should be able to help you and ship it to you free of charge as you already bought one of their plans (so the $2 fee is waived).

      Hope this helps.

      • Thanks! I have tried contacting customer service. Been waiting for more than a week now and still no response from them!

        • They’re super easy on the phone. You don’t even need them however, just grab a SIM from United petrol station for $2 and activate it with your voucher, the two aren’t linked until you activate them. 👍

          • @xdirex: Where did you find their phone number? I couldn't see it anywhere?

  • Any chance you can use this with an Apple Watch?

    • First, which series of an Apple watch do you have?

      • Apple Watch Ultra 2 brand new model

        • You should be able to. I use an Apple Watch Series 7 and it pairs up with my watch perfectly, I just had to set it up correctly at the time of setup.

I also have an eSIM as well (not physical sim). However do your research as I can't 100% guarantee due to not having the same model.

  • No 5G on the Large 365 Day Plan (even with Monthly Data)? Elsewhere suggests 5G is only on Large Monthly Plans…

Slightly higher price than last year… Large 365 300GB $149, but can't beat Kogan IMHO.

  • great deal, but just remember vodafone network speed, coverage, and customer service is trash. it is cheap because they can't get business.
trust it, it is worth paying extra for telstra.
optus would be in between telstra and vodafone, but closer to vodafone then telstra though.

    • Make the work phone telstra and enjoy the benefitsfrom Dr Grim Jim and use this for your daily use…and again enjoy the extra $ in your pocket.

  • I get 1.5 Mbps on Kogan mobile at home :(

  • I got one 3 weeks ago and have not received a sim. So, lodged 2 tickets and have not got ANY reply… there is no phone or chat to contact. will be returning money through paypal..

    Am I doing something wrong?

    • Which SIM did you pick? eSIM delivered via email, or physical sim delivered via post?

      • +1

Support finally relied. It was esim according to them. Very confusing. Now they sent a sim.. I mean this is kids phone, so not so important, but I wouldn't order mine there, want some actual support if things go south..

  • Note that you get a bit longer for the voucher expiry. I purchased a Small voucher this week, and it expires on Feb 29 2024. (i.e. Not Jan 31)

    • Hmm…. that would play out nicely as my free More Telecom finish around that time….

I am however concern as many has mention customer services is poor if not non exist. I am very reluctant to port my main number to them…..

  • +1

I purchased the $100 small plan, and received the voucher which suggests the expiry date is 29/02/2024, instead of the end of Jan. This has become interesting as my daughter's current mobile plan actually will only expire in the middle of Feb.

    Anyone has the similar experience?

  • Medium pack also expires 29/02/2024

  • Be careful! Got the Kogan $165 500GB real at the start of 2023 for a new iPhone 12. Chip came with a letter informing (warning?) me the renewal would cost $529.
Don't know why but started out not sending messages, spasmodically wouldn't access internet nor F'book Messenger. Still pisses me around when trying to access i'net directly. Still occasionally fails to recieve some F'book messages
Luckily stumbled across recent $99/1 year/250GB deal at Costco. Waiting until New Year to activate

  • $10 cashback for Amex as well. $50 spent

    • For me, the first bulletpoint in that AMEX offer terms says that it excludes Kogan Essentials, which Kogan Mobile falls under.

Is that not the case for you? Have you done this successfully in the past despite it saying it excludes Kogan Mobile?

Excludes purchases made at all Kogan Essentials websites (including, but not limited to, Kogan Mobile, Kogan Internet, Kogan Energy, Kogan Credit Card, Kogan Insurance, Kogan Pet Insurance, Kogan Life Insurance, Kogan Travel, Kogan Cars and Kogan Super).

  • does anyone know if you can use Amex spend $50 get $10 on Kogan giftcards? and than use the kogan giftcards to purchase the kogan mobile vouchers?

    • tried and it (ie buying GC with Amex card on kogan website) doesn't work (transaction fails - no other reason given)

    • +1

I received $50 Kogan giftcards & Amex sent me an email says I just spent $50 get $10 offer. It'll be days before I'll receive the $10

      • Did you buy the giftcard via the kogan website or app?

  • On the SMALL plan can the 120GB of data be allocated monthly (i.e 10Gb each month?) I've looked up the CIS on the KM site and it looks like it's an old copy and it's talking about 80GB. Considering this for my child but it they get all the data up front I'm pretty sure I know what's going to happen.

I just bought an Amaysim plan so I could choose a premium number and that expires in 18 days so thinking this would be an ideal replacement.

If it is possible to have the data monthly is that an option chosen at activation time rather than purchase?

Thanks for any assistance. I tried calling the 1300 number for KM but it just disconnected rather than ringing which is a bit of a worry.

    • +1

I think yo have to choose when you purchase. The is an option which you can choose to receive it in one hit or divided across 12 months.

      • I’m not seeing any option before it prompts for payment details.

        • 120Gb does not have that option. the others do….

  • +4

Hi all, I just called up Kogan Mobile and they've told me that the expiry will be 31 Jan 2024, irrespective of what was in the email (29/02/2024). Just a heads up for those who had been planning on activating it in Feb.

  • Has anyone successfully use a voucher code that expired buy calling kogan customer service. My 365 large voucher expired 2 days ago and I forgot use activate. Holy Crap that sucks.

    • +1

If the guy you get is very nice, they might generate (they might use the term "reallocate") a new code for you.

Obviously they don't have to do this and they're perfectly entitled to pocket your money and do nothing, given that you've let the voucher expire.

      • +2

The kogan guy was really cool about it. Issued me another code with a expiry of what ever I needed, though I only needed to mid January recharge. Fantastic.

        • +1

          Great to hear!

        • But people don't count on this. I think it's hit and miss if the tech support person is in a good mood and feeling generous.

  • Bought this because I've predominantly been on Voda over the years and had no issues. Can say I'm pretty disappointed with the reception quality and speeds.

Only reaches 100bps 4g in the city, and 10 or below in the suburbs. No 5g trial or whatever they were advertising, I'll have to call up to see if I can get 5g back on my phone (I've never been on 4g only, this sucks).

Can say I'm saving a lot of money per month, but I also feel like I'm losing a lot per month 😂 would have preferred a boost Sim and managed my own data more cautiously as I use about 30gb a month.

    • Let us know how you go. Kogan reception really sucks in the outer suburbs.

      • 5G trial was for the $40PM contracted plan only - I was poorly advised by an agent who said I could have it and that my subub was under "maintenance". The other agent who had more legit information told me my plan was eligible for 4g only, but Kogan was most likely getting 5g soon since vodafone shut down their 3g towers - although I am entirely unsure how that is even related to 5g except for market competitiveness. Surely using 5g towers will be costing kogan more than their existing 4g supply, and any upgrade will have the costs passed onto consumers. I'm still half half on how I feel about the whole switch.

  • Thanks OP. Grabbed the small plan for $95 ($5 new customer signup). That will keep me going for another year and less hassle of porting in/out every 2nd month with Boost LOL.

  • Has anyone else not received there sim yet? Ordered physical Sim a couple of weeks ago and still haven't received.

  • Vodafone is extremely slow for me
