Trojan 4 Piece Plier Set $9.98 + Delivery ($0 C&C/in-Store/OnePass) @ Bunnings

1620

I/N: 0432591 < For when Bunnings "break" the URL and you need to search for it manually.

Was reading the catalogue and it was listed as $19.98 and when I clicked on the interaction, it poped up for $9.98!

The price according to PriceHipster is the lowest it has recorded. In March 2023, it was $24.98, down to $19.98 and then down to $9.98 now.

A slightly similar product with maybe slightly better grips is the Trojan 3 Piece Plier Set but that is $29.98 at the moment, just to give a comparison on price.

Plenty of stock around.

In Australia isn’t it 4 Seasons, Durex, Lifestyle? Can you even get Trojans easily here?

Thanks just ordered one with OnePass

What's your verdict on them? Worth it for 10$?

      • +1

look i can't complain about their quality based on what i paid. they are basic

Probably a discount on a discount. The Craftright three piece plier set is $9.98. The RRP of Trojan pliers is not going to be less than Craftright.

  • Thanks, bought a couple of sets

    This or Knipex?

  • Spring-loaded nips look like an accident waiting to happen when carrying them in the tool belt. Scaffolder by trade so always moving through tight and confined spaces, keeping the nips held closed. Could always snip off the springs.

I don't think people who are in the trades industry will be buying $9 plier set for work purposes…

      • +1

Yeah probably, unless just starting out and wanting to get a starter set, wouldn’t bash the cheapos. I have the $25 Knipex ones because, Knipex.

    Thanks OP.

Got a set, the mini bent nose pliers would be handy for fishing (hook removal). The others for general DIY.

    Thanks OP!

Grabbed these, along with a $10 Trojan Hammer and tape set, $4 Trojan Compass saw, $6 Trojan 8 piece metric hex kit and a $20 Trojan 13 piece screwdriver set for house beaters.

    • +1

I got hammer & tape set $10 and $5 screw driver tape set

      • I was tossing up at the start with that one or the $10, 6 piece set without the tape because there's already one with the hammer.. 😅 Then I was like, fcuk it, 13 with magnetised tip coating for another 10, why not.

    • I have some Trojan branded tools overall much better quality than the workzone rubbish from Aldi. Trojan hand tools are heavy duty suitable for everyday use. They are very well priced however, some tools come with stinky machine oil which I promptly dip in kerosene to clean it good then give it a proper degrease and finally coat it with some light Japanese camellia oil to prevent rust.

Some Trojan pliers have very tight joins but you get what you paid. At least they won't be loosy goosy anytime soon.

I don't really care for super expensive hand tools I think those are for instagram snobs. As long as the hardened jaws meet when close, the knife cuts cleanly and does it's job then it passes my requirements.

Thanks very much OP for the detailed description. My local Bunnings hadn't updated their price tags so I would not have known these were discounted if it were not for your OzBargain deal.

When I took it to the cash register to price check they said "Its $9.98. That's cheap!".
