  • Can't believe I picked up one of these second hand back when they were still new for $275…
makes me wish I was more patient

also heard that there is to be a 32gb nexus 7, which would be priced the same as the 16gb. Hence this model should go down in price.

    • It's the mini ipad that's going to be the main factor driving down the price of this

    • if anyone rely on browsing, reading book and play few games this storage should not bother anyone i reckon :)

      • +2

I'd be upset if the next person paid the same for a higher capacity one :P

    AC adpater not Included

    • +1

yeah, that's strange…the retail boxes definitely have the AC adapter included with the cable.
Not sure what's going on here? (taking them out to try and resell, grey import…?)

      • most likely not Australian then and taken out if I am being kind, to avoid confusion. At this point most people have a few USB chargers around anyway.

        • +1

Keep in mind that you will need a 2A charger with this tablet. Some phone chargers won't be able to charge the N7

  • Are these good for ebooks? Or should I just grab a dedicated e-reader machine?

    • +1

Fine for eBooks, plenty of free reader apps. Bit of overkill though, I hope you would use it for more than books.

    • +2

Yeah, there are e-Readers in the $100 range that will serve the purpose of eBooks much better than an Android tablet. Better reading experience overall.

  • awesome tablet, bought one from kogan, arrived last week, has been constantly on it now, love it, not using it to read tho, just playing games and browse

  • its funny how COTD only charge $7.95 shipping for a Nexus 7 and charge $10-15 when you buy a parker pen, earphones etc lol

    • +1

Or charge more shipping for 1x branded t-shirt than 4x unbranded polo shirts during their shipping only promotion.

  • Thanks OP. Good price.
Sorry for out of topic but I don't think anyone have the right to edit the deals post by the members except the Mods. I will have to think 5 times before posting any deal in the future.

If you've got a problem with it or have something to say, say it here:

What's wrong with the edit? You can always see what they changed by clicking the revisions tab under the title. I like it how the power users can edit as some descriptions and titles aren't very clear.

      • +4

Exactly. I'd love for them to have a look at the revisions and explain what it was I did that was so terrible they had to moan about it.

My first edit, I fixed a broken price, added a space, added the fact it was 1 per order and added the merchant to the title.

My second edit, I decluttered the top section, bullet pointed the features and added tags.

How awful of me, what was I thinking.

        • You'll go to hell for what you did!

          …lol

        • Thanks to foobar that all details are properly displaced.. otherwise more there would be whinging about it lol

One of my favourite toys, just the right size and play 1080p videos smoothly

    • Can't play 1080p it down converts
      - 7” IPS Display with 1280 x 800 resolution

      • Perhaps what he means is that it plays them without glitching.

  • Very very tempting at this price… Not sure if I want to change from my iPad 1.

  • This table Is the best buy I have made in a long time. I Couldn't imagine the frustration of buying this without a working charger though.

  • +1

Pricematched this at OW, and got a surprise when I linked my google account to the tablet. An email popped up, giving me $25 to my Google Play account. All in all, the tablet only cost me <$240. Now, THAT's a good deal!

  • +2

I cannot emphasise enough how important the charger is. You DO need one as it charges the device substantially quicker than via USB. So, given that and the cost to buy one, this is NOT a deal to me - COTD is selling an incomplete item so I have to assume it's being sold unsealed and who knows what's happened to it or where it's come from knowing COTD and their reputation.
