  • I don't understand how Fitbit get away with selling such dated tech at such high prices.

I'm genuinely looking for these features for a cheaper price. Is there a brand you recommend by any chance?

      • The MiBands are popular on OzBargain.

      • I had this exact Fitbit for about 3 years until the clasp on the face that held the band broke last month (I normally replace my fitness trackers around the 2-3 year mark anyway.) I'm not a fan of Fitbits that have large screens as I only need a watch and step-tracking capabilities - and this 'fit' my needs perfectly. I loved how I only needed to charge it every 10 days or so. I took the opportunity to upgrade to the Fitbit Luxe (similar features but needs to be charged more often unfortunately) but I'd highly recommend this one if you're a fan of the Fitbit app etc - great little tracker at this price.

        • Do you have to pay for Fitbit app? I was about to buy a Fitbit for my child but she said it should come with a paid subscription. Is that so? I googled the basic Fitbit app was free but is it good or one must buy a premium subscription?

My gf had one and out at dinner last week, her friend commented "I didn't realise people still wore fitbits".

Had to get her an Apple Watch the next day. The level of disrespect!

You had to get her an apple watch because her friend was surprised to see her wearing a fitbit?

I'm onto my 3rd/4th Fitbit - I'm addicted to social media enough as it is and don't want to have constant notifications etc on my wrist. I also don't want to charge my watch every day - small Fitbits are great for avoiding those two things alone. In saying that, I also don't know a single person who uses a Fitbit (non-smartwatch type) aside from myself…

      • I was an apple watch user and got sick of the constant notifications and anxiety peaking thinking about a work email popping up any time my wrist vibrated.

Even when i wasn’t wearing it I was so conditioned that I’d sense a vibration and automatically lift my arm to take a look.

Switched to one of these bad boys and haven’t looked back. Does the bare minimum to help me earn my AIA Vitality weekly voucher and track the basics that i actually need.

        • Or you could have just disabled notifications for apps you didn't want to be notified for…

      Dumb friends.

They are better than most Android fitness trackers for sleep measurement and as good as any other of the Fitbits, according to the Quantified Scientist. That's the only reason I would buy it.

  • getting very old and doesn't support nfc pay. better off getting one that does. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/product/fitbit-charge-4
