Citi Prestige Credit Card - How Many Guests Can Enter in Multiple Lounges at a Time?

This card offers unlimited access to priority lounges and you can bring only one guest with you.

Wondering if you have 2 guests with you, can you enter in 2 lounges with one guest each in quick succession so that all 3 of you can access lounge benefits without paying any extra fees for 3rd guest?

Is it possible to do it and is it allowed by lounges ?

  • card offers unlimited access

    Huh?

  • You may enter with guest, multiple lounges, in succession equally the restaurant benefit may also be used at multiple outlets up to the threshold $36 x 2, one after each other.

    • Just got stung.. the restuarant benefit is only for the primary card holder only.

I got stung US$27 for swinping my card at a food outlet for myself and my dad.

After complaining they credited me back but warned me i will be charged next rime

      • Wow this sucks

I might be wrong, but i think she also said the priority pass is only for primary card holders, and guests will need to pay for lounge visits as well.

Primary card holder gets 2x loung visits.

          • @Archi: This is correct

          • @Archi: Doesn't sound like you're referring to the same card, Citi Prestige gives unlimited lounge visits for you and one guest

"Cardholders can use their lounge visit entitlement to receive AUD$36 off the bill. 1. Each AUD$36 deduction represents a single lounge visit within the Cardholder’s existing lounge visit allocation for which the Cardholder will, where applicable, be charged. E.g., if a Cardholder registers 1 Guest they will receive AUD$72 off their bill which will be charged as 1 Cardholder visit + 1 Guest visit on their account. Only 1 card per visit per Cardholder will be accepted and at point of registration. 2. The AUD$36 is valid for the purchase of any meal and/or drinks. To be eligible, Cardholders must present a valid Card and Boarding Pass with confirmed same-day travel before placing an order. 3. AUD$36 is non-transferable & cannot be exchanged for cash substitute or refund if the final bill is lower than AUD$36 per person. 4. Cardholder is responsible for the balance if total final bill exceeds AUD$36 per person. Any remaining balance cannot be used towards gratuity. "

      • I travel domestic and use my priority pass (from Prestige) very often. Personally I enjoy use it on eatery more than airline lounges access. I think nowadays airline lounges are really just for the pretty looks… Another story.

From my experience, when the store scanning your priority pass before ordering, they will ask how many travel companion you want to include.

Assuming your priority pass is from Citibank Prestige card, which is highest level priority pass, you are entitled to bring 1 travel companion. Priority covers $36 each, so $72 for two.

As phat-guy mentioned, You can use multiple outlets on the same day at same airport as you like. One entry per outlets per travel.

        • I've managed to use it at the same restaurant/bar twice. One airport, same day (2 or 3 hours apart). First visit was for myself + 1 guest (so $76 value). Second visit was just myself ($36 value). I wasn't charged anything extra.

          • @ltwo: Will counter letting you know they going to charge or using the PP allowance? I assume if there is difference i would rather pay with cash.

  • citi cc still around ?

    • Still around & paying holders handsomely

  • Yes, I've done this with a restaurant.

    • Restaurants seem straight forward, but lounge is probably trickier I'd say…

I’ve just gotten this card - sorry to hijacker’s the comments - but does anyone know what qualifies for their min spend to get the bonus points?

    • We used PayAll to get them

      • Recently? From the T+C it appeared payall was not a qualifier

        • +1

This was a few months ago, so not sure if anything has changed. But my wife and I both did it with PayAll across two Citi cards each.

  • I guest friends in (splitting them up) to multiple lounges when I have a group, haven't been charged anything. This is with amex plat that gives the same priority pass afaik

    • How do you do it? I'm guessing as the main cardholder you have to be the one registering at entry.

So for example, if you have 2 guests with you:

      1) Go to lounge A with Guest 1, Guest 2 waits outside
      2) Leave lounge A, go with Guest 2 to Lounge B
      3) Guest 1 is alone in Lounge A, and you're with Guest 2 in Lounge B

Yeah that's correct. Such is life with a capped number of guests but their loneliness is aided with the free buffet and drinks

        • OK thanks! I have a trip next year with 2 guests so will give that a go.

          • @Craze: Which airport are you going to? In Sydney the Plaza Premium ones and Centurion lounge can let you guest in 2 people

            • @Emphasise: Flying out of Melbourne airport. The will be at Singapore Changi en-route to Hong Kong.

              • +1

@Craze: Weird, I had a look on the priority pass app and it doesn't tell me how many guests it lets you take in. The amex app turned out to be more useful.

Marhaba and The House let you guest in 1 each.

There were so many in Singapore I could not get to all of them, you'll have a great time. I went into SATS Premier Lounge in T1 Singapore, they had a DIY Laksa which was pretty good. Marhaba Lounge food was okay, nice facilities like places to sleep and work areas. Pointhacks have a good resource of lounge reviews.

                • +1

@Emphasise: Cool thanks for the tip, will read up on Pointhacks closer to the trip (or I'd forget otherwise)

  • Yes it's okay to do
We've done this a few times when there are multiple Priority Pass lounges in the same terminal to look for better food/drinks.
There's no issues entering different lounges in quick succession using the unlimited Priority Pass card
