Been using this for home internet but haven't been able to purchase for a while now (a month or two). I have tried new details and accounts (both boost and CR) with different names, delivery addresses and even a brand new Debit Card. I've used different devices (PC, brand new mobile phone and iPad on mobile data) and still no luck. No idea what it could be.

Same issue just happen to me. Did you try contact customer service?

    • +1

Clear the cache file of your internet browser. Or u can use different internet browser eg brave, firefox or opera.

      • +2

I forgot to add that I also used a different internet browser.

        • Did you try different CR account. I am going to create one for my wife and have a look see if it works.

          • @fly121121: I've tried going to boost.com.au directly without using a cashback link and still get the "Something went wrong" error

          • @fly121121: Yep, I listed that in OP. Did you have any success?

            • +2

@Pub Envelope: 100% confrimed that boost block my whole file. including phone number, email address, address or even my neighbour's address, and also anything that i try with old data.

this is how i test it
1st try works, purevpn to another au address. open new chorme with new gmail login(this is to make sure no cache in the browser), random name, random DOB, phone number activated from boost last time. new email address. totally new address that never use for previous try. Zip one time payment from wife.

2nd try, all the step and details are the same, except address change to my address. failed.

3rd try, all the step and details are the same, except address change to previous input address for trying failed.

4th try, all the step and details are the same, except address change to my neighbour failed.

5th try, all the step and details are the same, except address change to my 1st try address. worked

6th try, all the step and details are the same, except address change to my 1st try address and use my own zip failed.

7th try, all the step and details are the same, except address change to my 1st try address and use my wife zip failed.

8th try, vpn not changing, random name, random DOB, new email address. 1st try address and use my wife zip worked.

my guessing is, they first blocks credit card, then email address, then adderss, then phone number then IP, so within these blocking steps, as long as you try to use any of the block data plus any new data ( no matter email. credit card or address will add on their block list whenever you try), that means the more you try , the more new data will be link together in their block list.

uber eat is using the similar blcoking system.

hopefully this test can help some one

    • I had the same problem, it always come up with something wrong with the order. This morning I tried using a different mobile number but everything else the same (Email address, Address, etc) and it works..

      • "DanTheMn" many thanks as I have been getting same issues recently, tried following your tip

(only changing phone number). and worked first time.

Guess now we are playing a cat and mouse game with Boost/Telstra adding more layers of overlap

        regarding using same detail lol.

      • Tried but didn't work for me. Glad you had success though.

    • You've been shadow banned from buying them.

Just need to wait it out.

      • +1

Does the "Wait it out" come from a reliable source? How long is the wait?

        • No one knows, but it randomly starts working for most after some time (months)… and then banned again.

      • I'm a genuine first time customer and still got the something went wrong error. How could I possible been shadow banned?

        • +1

Because Boost are essentially Telstra and their 'fraud detection' IT implementation is deranged.

        • Someone with similar details to yours got blocked so their system blocks you also, fot shits and giggles

  • +2

Don't forget to use the code BOOST12

  • I have 3 shopback accounts. 1st account can buy 4-8 only then got error message. Use 2nd account can buy 2-4 only. Because of same name and address. Sometimes can buy more with different name. If not then buy with different name and with another credit card.

What is the Guinness World Record of the profit from Boots mobile plan?

  • If you buy under different name, can you still activate under your name?

    • +1

Are you Jason Bourne? Go ahead — it will probably work just fine

    • Yes, had a spare from previous month (ordered by me) and activated it for my partner. No problem.

  • So some of you have problem with purchase? I thought the main issue is the activation part.

    • +4

Purchasing is a bigger problem. Activation while is still a problem but can still eb done through online chat.

  • How long would this take to arrive in Perth?

    • Usually 3 days to 1 week, depending on how quickly they ship.

  • Anyone activated after… say… 33 days, and get cash back? I forgot to activate in time…. :(

    • Yes

  • I wish this pack could recharge the battery in the Tesla I bought with cashback profit.

  • going to buy now to avoid it arriving late after Christmas, rip more profit

    • Psst… you need to be buying more then when it's the high profit

  • +2

    oh no…

    SORRY, SOMETHING WENT WRONG

We’re sorry but we’re experiencing technical issues. Please try again later.

  • Just bought one and got cashback track confirmation within minute

  • I've never taken advantage of these Boost deals; if anyone could help, can I confirm that I could buy two of these across two separate transactions/orders with the same Cashrewards account and personal details and get $7 in profit?

    • Yes, see description above which linked from BG’s FAQ

  • anyone know what to do if DRIVER licence doesnt not get verified online ?? (when putting right details, aka how to get it to work instead of using other IDs) ??

    • I find my DL will just randomly not work. All the details are correct, used hundreds of times successfully. Use my Passport instead.

I suspect the DL fails aren't actually a problem with the details, but a problem accessing the AU DL verification database/system. Like Telstra making too many systemwide attempts in a given timeframe.

      • yea have zero but Boost/telstra services have been so bad lately Not able to activate sims etc. (even their team also could not do it on Friday)

I mean I already stopped buying Boost sims (as I was not able to buy for IDK like 2+ months now i think)

  • Annoying!! Back to the #SomethingWentWrong squad.

    • I get that during online activation, purchasing is fine for me

  • Just wondering if anyone has tried to stay on these free/profitable boost sim monthly plans by porting in and out for few month (or may be over a year). I am considering the fact that one can port out and back into boost plan on the same day using $2 SIM cards.

This might sound silly, however I am just curious to find the extent to ozbargain this deal.
