Hi OzB brains trust,
Can anyone suggest a reliable Asus router for Hybrid Fibre Coaxial (HFC) nbn? Brownie points if you can find it on a sale/bargain.
- Budget $400
- 100/20 nbn connection
- Single story, 4 bedroom home
- Router will be in a room at one end of home (i.e. not central) - may need mesh
- Use: working from home, streaming, browsing, light gaming
- Prefer to buy from an Aussie supplier to avoid any region-lock issues
Thank you in advance.
Get an eero. It literally just works. Fantastic little units. Add more as and when you want for mesh coverage.

You probably don’t need the more expensive eero 6 for only 100mbit speeds. Standard eero unit very sufficient.
The 3-pack is within your budget if you want perfect coverage inside and garden (albeit was $199 in BF sale).
You can also get an eero 6 ‘free’ if you switch to Superloop (subject to staying 18 months else pro-rata payback).
