For comparison priceline has a 20 pack for $17. My wife chugs these down because drinking normal water is boring apparently.

  • Does anybody know how these compare to High 5 Zero tables. From what I can tell they are similar but these days High 5 is getting a little pricy.

  • Do these work to prevent hang overs??

How come this deal gets so many votes? super low price for salt tablet cost more than $20?

    • these tablets are good to bring when traveling. not liquid and don't get any funny looks like a bag of salt would…

  • Is this same same as Berocca?

I used to train, sweat alot and get cramped.
just a half tsp of salt, some apple cider vinegar and thats it. doesn't taste great but works.
you can add in as much sugar for taste as you want the damage from it.

Just with all the chat about which one is better.

Hydralyte is (theoretically) isoosmolar and suitable for oral rehydration therapy. If prepared according the the directions (2 tabs in 200mL water) it will be absorbed and distributed more evenly into your circulation.

So if you are dehydrated (exercise, work outside, vomit/diarrhoea) then it helps to replace the lost volume. Theoretically it doesn't dilute or concentrate your remaining volume.

Things like Voost which add vitamins, will fizzy-good-make-feel-nice but don't necessarily equally replace fluid loss.

All of this is good in theory but requires you to prepare it exactly right, to consume it right and for nothing to get in the way of absorption.

    Anyway, back to being productive.

  • Voost brand is pretty good too on sale https://www.chemistwarehouse.com.au/buy/101218/voost-hydrate… $19.99 for 60

  • I got these. But disappointed. 60 tablets sounds good, but they're thin and you need 2. So only 30 doses. Also empty space in the tubes could fit 2 more tablets.

    • I think two tablets would be too sweet. And why do they say to only use 200ml water and sip slowly? I bought this for working outside in the heat, dripping in sweat. Is it not enough electrolytes if I put just one tablet in a 500ml water or something?

      • Well I've been putting 2 in Sodastream bottles, 500ml I think. And it's very bland. I'd probably go 3 for an ideal taste.
I also tried 2 in a standard drinking glass, probably 300-400ml, and it was still a bit bland. But it could be that I'm mistaken in expecting it to be like Powerade etc.
