Dear all.
Everything is getting pricey, and my home consumption of rice and flour is particularly high!
Any recommendations on the cheapest place to get them from?

How much rice and flour are you going through?
Try Google and find a local bulk supplier as the restaurants do, that will sell to you
But unless you have the muscles and space to store 10-20kg bags, Coles is about good for us, 5kg often.
Just do some homework and shop around dude.
for rice go to an asian grocery in an 'asian' suburb, the shoppers there have their finger on the rice price and if the shops arent competitive then they wont sell anything. And buy a big bag. or wait for a special at a big supermarket, sometimes the bigger bags are good. Woolworths brand 5kg Jamine is $14 per kg and Royal Feast is $38 for 10kg; the woolworth's brand probably wont go on sale but the Royal Feast or the Sunrice bags do not infrequently.
