You can tell theyre really trying to get the player base back.

It was fun at first but was just way too grindy.

      • +1

        exactly.

Nah, they're poaching the suckers just in time for a new paid expansion pack in the hopes that some of them get hooked enough to buy it.

  • I got it because of the cinematics but soon got bored, they need to make the next witcher

    • +1

Different studio but CD Projekt Red said most of their staff are working on the next Witcher now.

      • We'll have to playthrough Witcher 3 and cyberpunk 2077 a few times to 2030

    • I could not even play it for more than an hour. Bought at launch, played for 30h and get bored. What a joke.

      • +1

you should be outraged tell the ACCC that i am bored after 30h and want a refund

        • +1

Damn I meant 30 minutes, bloody hell.

This is a good game. Grinding isn't the best, but I think most people would comfortably get their $65 worth

    • +1

nah they cant play for 1000 hours so it sucks

I thought I missed playing diablo II. Only found out I missed the good old days I had my mates to play with me.

That is how I feel about all multiplayer games these days

    • If you've not revisited D2 with the remastered version, give it a try. D4 sucks IMO.

  • Hmm why is it on sale again, it was just on sale during the Black Friday sale recently?

  • Glad I dodged this bullet.

  • Apparently the expansion will cost USD $50. So you are going to keep paying if you want to see the end-game.

  • They don't do regional pricing either, don't know how some people could afford to pay so much in countries with low currencies.

    • Easily, they just sacrifice more. How do you think some people in developing countries can afford brand-new TVs/phones/cars that cost the same if not more than in Australia?

Paid $110 for this sh*t on release. After decades of bootlegging, never again

    • +3

      Did it rustle your jimmies?

    • played 30+ hours but have to pretend to be mad now to farm your internet points lmao

I probably wouldn't recommend this game to most people, it's a bit hit and miss.

If you just wanna play through the story campaign, it's a decent but not challenging experience, and you may get about 35 hrs out of it, so you can decide what that's worth to you $ wise.

Beyond this point is where things get either too grindy for the more casual, or 'not enough to do' for the more sweaty.

After the story you'll do world quests, world bosses, dungeons, clear up side quests, and/or run around and click on 200 statues spread around the world.

Then at level 50 you'll do your first challenging content, in the form of a 'capstone dungeon', completing this unlocks harder dungeons that scale in difficulty, and world events called helltides, both of which will be your main activities until you've had enough, or get strong and geared enough to fight uber boss(s).

On top of this formula there are seasons which add new mechanics and some story for which you'll have to start a new character, season one added fancy socketable items that changed how skills worked, and also added new legendary class items that allowed new builds.

I'm not sure where the game has gone from here, as I've moved on to playing other games, and not sure if I'll return, but I think I got my money's worth, but this game could have been so much more.

Gonna be honest, I bought at launch, played till the last act and did a bit of it, got sidetracked with life stuff and just haven't picked it back up since… I enjoyed the game when playing it, but I did not feel compelled to complete it now. Might pick it back up and finish the game during Christmas.

      • Yea I went through the same motions too, it's a pretty decent game, just not a good Diablo game.
