You can get the subscription one for $99 after coupon. Pay for x months then cancel and keep the camera for free. Deal somewhere here on ozbargain. Posted recently. DYOR

    • Yeh the subscription thing was a bit confusing to me at first.
basically i think works like, buy on amazon for $99 with the coupon, but when you get it you need to setup with subscription applied and the min is 3x mths for $10 per mth. so $30 + 99 bascially, and then cancel the subscription etc.
So it's $80 extra if you don't want to deal with the subscription model stuff

Or just buy aqara g3 for 169 you get pet camera that can recognise face, a hub, a speaker and more…

Does it throw treats across the room for my work at home GF and doggo?

          • @xdivino: It can turn on on your TV, aircon, fans or any other ir device for you at home GF, with companion device it can detect water leak open and lock you door, open your blind, turn and off any of your smart device, and more.

      • Says needs a subscription for camera features.

What happens after 3 months when you cancel ? Camera useless or camera will still work?

        • you're left with a working camera that has 2 way audio, tosses treats, and gives you very inaccurate barking alerts that easily trigger from random banging noises (which can be turned off). also no storage of recordings

        • The subscription gives you a diary of motion captured video clips and uploads it to the cloud.. The camera has subject tracking and follows your dog around the house (within field of view of course). With this feature, it will give you an activity alert (what your dog has been doing), selfie alert (of your dog) and person alert (e.g. intruder within the house). There is also a 'more advanced' barking alert for the paid subscription.

I have this at home and we didn't bother with the subscription. The free features are still very good.

  • Got one of these about 3 years ago. Treat chucker part died after about a year. Good for barking alerts that’s about it.

  • if you want it for the camera, the quality isn't great, there are better options for similar or far cheaper price. if you have a black dog, they will look like a black blob without detail when using the black/white night vision mode.

like the camera, the speaker for audio isn't great either. same deal, better options exist for similar/cheaper price.

the camera must sit up right on a table or similar flat surface, you can't mount it upside down or on a wall etc.

the size is kinda large. twice the size of the original google home speaker. like a 2L coke bottle

if you don't pay for the monthly subscription you just have a camera that tosses treats and gives a lot of inaccurate false positive barking alerts that trigger from random banging noises (which you can turn off). with the subscription, the barking alerts are extremely accurate and nuanced.

recordings are stored online and require subscription

the treat tossing, and the subscription features are cool. but if you don't need those then i think it's quite overpriced. at the same time i haven't found a better alternative that does all the same stuff together for the price

if you want multiple people to access the camera, you all have to use the same single account/password connected to the camera

  • I've been using this for several months and it's been a life saver for me. It has changed my dog into a very independent dog that doesn't give a shit about me not being home.

Also, the alerts are pretty accurate for me. Never seen any of the alerts misfire.

  • Anyone wondering about how the subscription one works and some other reviews a lot of answers were answered on the last deal for Furbo 360 posted Nov 17

    • This version should be added to the post as pretty sure it’s the cheapest it has ever been - and the best priced option.

With coupon applied, it’s $99 for the camera plus $30 for the required three-month subscription, which you can cancel immediately to avoid further billing if you forger!

    Another amazing invention.

How did people, and dogs, survive for thousands of years before this came along?

    • +1

      What an insightful comment.

Well, first of all, they didn't have apartments a thousand years ago.
How did dogs survive in apartments before this? With a lot of prozac, couch chewing, and whining all day.

Surely no-one would be silly enough to keep a dog cooped up in an apartment.
