Wondering if its possible to open an Argentina Bank account, if so how?

    You need a DNI (Documento Nacional de Identidad) and a Local Phone Number.

    Without that, no.

          Based on my personal experience, opening a bank account in third-world countries is way harder than here lol

    Ain't that convenient any more.
    Also, income received from interest will be subject to a tax assessment.

    HSBC (of Argentina) used to be quite flexible, not sure if they still are. Charges might apply too.

    Cumbersome unless residing in Argentina.

      Google appears to be cutting down on non local credit cards for payment. I have had 3 AU cards rejected :(

    Argentina's inflation rate is over 140%, so I wouldn't be keeping any money in their currency (Argentine Peso).

      Most bank accounts have (also) foreign currencies like Euro, USD, Real, etc.

      Money in the bank is to be used, not as an investment.
      To invest there are bonds and shares of all colours and interests.
