It's bs specs on a projector they don't actually make. They just pay to have their logo/branding slapped on it.

  • From memory, previous post mentioned this is 1080p Supported and actual resolution is only 720p.

Yes that’s correct , this model is not full HD only 1080P Supported.
. I have returned it and got my money back .

these are only deals if it's native 1080p. 1080p supported means it accepts a 1080 signal & downscales it to its 720p actual resolution.

    • im not a fan, these cheap chinese projectors are terrible

they are poorly engineered, even at 1080p, it's a cheap LCD panel with a magnifying lens

maybe if you are watching seinfeld or the footy or something… but a good movie? it's the waste of a good movie which are seemingly rare these days

better off watching it on a kogan 50" 4k tv

if you want a projector get a proper one from the likes of benq, viewsonic, optoma, etc, 4k can be had for $1200 new

I feel like those posts should be removed for misleading information and marketing.

  • I wont pay more than $20 for these.

    • I bought that one and I’d buy it again in a heartbeat, we’ve already had some great outdoor movie nights.

      • Did you just project it onto cloth?

What did you use for sound?

So far I’ve just projected onto the wall of the house, but I’m on the hunt for a 3m wide projector screen that’ll go between our deck pillars, or even just a solid grey shade blind.

For sound, so far I’ve used Bluetooth from my laptop to a Bose Soundtouch under the screen. But the more permanent plan is to run a long HDMI and Aux from my indoor PC 👌

          • @Jake T: If you can get your wifi up to required spec I just browse from a Firestick in the projector to a shared folder on my PC. Bluetooth from the firestick to my sound. I had to upgrade to wifi6 but I can now stream Bluray rips with no encoding. I do use a small folder I park stuff in that I want to watch on the projector to reduce the scrolling searching/times.

@Chiang: That was another option I’d entertained, but just the way my house is laid out I’m keen to cable it for this one. Our main screen is an OLED and it’s all setup for 4K Plex 👌
