Coles Credit Card - Pay with Another Credit Card at Auspost?

So I have a Coles no fee mastercard and on the statement, one of the options is to present the bill at any AusPost and pay it there. It's not "Post BillPay" it just says go to AusPost.

I have already used Post BillPay online via PayPal-Amex for some things, and Post BillPay in a store with Amex card.

Could I pay this card off at an AusPost and pay it with Amex? Would Amex know what it is and not give me the 2.25 points per $1 for my Amex Plat rewards?

Maybe it would be the 1 point per $1 on government spending?

Any experience or insight here?

  If the credit card you're using lets you press CHQ or SAV for a transaction then you're all set.

    It does not… So what kind of credit cards let you use CHQ and SAV? I thought this was only debit cards with linked savings accounts?
    Damn there is so much nuance to decipher between debit, credit, cheque, savings, "eftpos"

  AMEX should/hopefully give you the points, BUT they ma/should treat it as a cash advance, so you will be paying interest at XX% (*).

  (*) you ned to ready the credit card conditions 4 or 8 times to figure out if they will charge you a cash advance or not, but mote do.

  Not legal to pay one credit card with another in Australia unless it's via Balance Transfer.

  if you're going into a post office, youll have a piece of paper with a bar code of some sort. their system is hard coded to not accept "credit" as a method of payment for certain billers (eg card providers) — it's to ensure there is no chargeback fraud later on — the post mob are just a middle man who get a list of rules from the company with the barcode

  Usually AMEX holders buy gift card that can be used as EFTPOS card with minimum or no fee, and pay government-related payment with that EFTPOS card. This way you get credit card points for government-related payment.
