Phillips Bluetooth Stereo Headphones - $79.95 - Officeworks

Philips Bluetooth Headphones SHB9100/00 Stereo for $79.95 at Officeworks.

Same deal as COTD but the convenience of buying it from a store and easy to return if there are any problems. It seems to be the normal price but I think that they are on special or end of product life. In their website, they state it as PHSHB1000 but I have bought one and it is actually the SHB9100/00.

I think the main difference between the SHB9100/00 and the PHSHB1000 is the charging connection. The SHB9100/00 charges via micro USB which is more convenient, whereas the PHSHB1000 uses another connection. The display I've seen at Officeworks is PHSHB1000. However if OP has actually bought one and claims that it's SHB9100/00 then take his word for it.

I bought the SHB9100/00 from the COTD deal a while and it's one of my best buys! Sound quality is awesome. Lack of cable makes it fuss-free. Bluetooth means picking up calls at a press of a button!

Bought one of these from DSE for my Dad as they also had it for $79.95 last weekend (RRP $120 from memory). I must say, better than I expected. Comfortable to use. Good build quality. Bluetooth worked without issues to a Sony Xperia Android handset.

The headphone jack is useful if the battery goes dead or you want to use it with a non-Bluetooth device.

Yes, charging cable is micro USB. I got my unit from Dandenong (VIC) OW. I saw another unit in one of the OW in Melbourne city and it also says SHB9100/00.

Suggest that people check before buying :)

I'm happy with my unit. As mentioned below, it's very light, sound is good, and once setup, works fine. I use it with my Samsung Galaxy S2.

Also bought a pair during the DSE deal. Have used them with my PC and phone over Bluetooth. Some random points:

    • Comfort is good. Lightweight with thick supraaural cushioning.
    • There's a continuous low-level buzz when Bluetooth is active.
    • Audio quality is good for the price - not as good as $200+ wireless non-BT Sennheisers but not cheap-sounding either. Main weakness is some instruments get distorted when music's too 'busy'.
    • No lip sync issues watching video on my phone, but on my PC with the 99 cent Meritline Bluetooth adaptor, there's an audio delay of roughly 100-150ms (which VLC can correct for, but it's an inconvenience).
    • The link with my PC is stable up to around 20 metres through walls.
    • They're open enough to earn you an 'asshole' badge if you use them at high volume in a quiet train carriage.
    • "They're open enough to earn you an 'asshole' badge if you use them at high volume in a quiet train carriage."

      so that's you

  • Just got mine. Easy to setup.
Bass is not as good as I expected but it is very light and comfortable.

It only comes with USB cable for charging. You will have to get a power-usb adapter or does iphone adapter do the same trick.

  • Got one from COTD, comparing with the $49 Incase I bought at the same times, sound quality is very weak, won't suitable for musie/movie. But for chating purpose it's a great one, much better than my old Blueant ($80).
BTW, just let you know it has sound lagging problem with Nexus 7, but not for my Galaxy s2.
