No, thats the non-sapphire 16GB version. The same one at JB is $847.

      • Thanks

      • Neither the OPs deal nor the JB deal are the Sapphire version, so $698 at JB is the better deal, IMO, unless you care about the colorway/DLC.

      • No, thats the Sapphire Black Titanium version. The Kogan deal the OP posted does not appear to be the Sapphire version.

        • Yet they share the same model number in both the eBay posting and jbhifi link?

          • @Pyoubs90: Hmm, can't see where youre refering to but I note the description says preloaded maps and 32GB storage, so perhaps you're right or perhaps there's a different SKU for overseas models; I'm not 100% sure.

@chrisandrew: EBay lists model number GAR-010-02582-12, seems to be the sapphire version

  • tempting….

  • Will Garmin AU recognize it as authorised reseller? And is it AU version?

    • It says in a JPG image that it is an Official Partner, but not sure if that is trustworthy/enough proof?

      • It doesn't mention anywhere that it has a sapphire display either.

        • The display is not saaphire, it’s the model that is called referred to as Saaphire.

          • @rpassis: Thanks for clarifying OP.

The link to the model from JB hifi you posted above states:

            Premium Materials
Fit the watch’s look to your lifestyle with options for a sapphire display, titanium bezel or stainless steel bezel.

But the item in your OP doesn't state it anywhere even though it looks like the same item, hence my confusion. Important clarification imo, as my Fenix 5 Motorsport has a sapphire display and doesn't have a scratch on it after a few years of ownership.

Great series of watches, thanks for posting the deal.

@The J man: Yeah you are right it is a bit confusing. I actually had a look at the Garmin website and the display is in fact saaphire. So AFAICT the model linked in this deal is the saaphire version because only that version comes in black (or white). The other cheaper version (non saaphire) is the one with the silver bezel.

Edit to add a link to the Garmin forums with a similar question https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/outdoor-recreat…

@rpassis: The Sapphire models say so on the box. The Carbon Grey DLC model is not the same as the Sapphire Black Titanium. They look similar, but the Sapphire version has a Sapphire lens, and double the internal storage and preinstalled maps, I believe.

The Carbon Grey DLC is more expensive because its more popular, and the DLC ("diamond like coating") is alleged to be more durable than the steel. Although, I seriously doubt theres much difference judging by the classifieds.

@rpassis: Wrong again. Garmin makes them with and without Sapphire lens. Sapphire models are Sapphire. Unless specified, they are not.

            • +1

@chrisandrew: Given the eBay model describes it as 32gb I’m pretty sure you are incorrect and this is the sapphire version. Also from dicksmith’s website, this is the same watch/model and the description does say sapphire glass 🤷‍♂️ https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/buy/garmin-epix-gen-2-carbon…

@rpassis: Yes, seen. I just replied to someone else above re: the same. You might be right. Anyone prepared to pull the trigger and confirm? 😂

@chrisandrew: I’ll let you know when it arrives 👍

                  • +1

@rpassis: Noice. Specs list it as Titanium, too, so it's looking like I stand corrected. Fingers crossed it is because then its definitely a deal🤞

  • Great watches !

  • How low can it go ?

  • With 6% exchange gift card, it will go down to 696$

    • How did you calculate that?

  • -1

    Kogan means Refurbished 🤣

  • OOS

  • Hard to find the 42mm foe such a price

  • Just used the 15% off TCN gift cards on Kogan.com for this, $779 listed on Kogan.com for Kogan first (used free trial) minus $117 savings on GCs = $662 total cost, delivered.

Bit of work redeeming 9x GCs but an absolute bargain. Cheers OP!
