  • a not so great review here: https://www.windowscentral.com/kensington-sd5600t-review

edit: this review is from 2021, so maybe the issues listed have been resolved with driver updates, but probably worth looking into.

    • I saw this, but I'm a Mac user and most of the feedback I'd seen about this device from other Mac users on Reddit was positive! I was replacing a CalDigit USB-C Dock Pro which I had many issues with (display flickering, webcam issues) and since that was EOL I had to find something else. At least this is a brand new product under warranty. I've been using for about a week with no issues thus far!

      • Hi there, which Mac are you using? I have MacAir M2 and HP G5 dock and am having issue with clamshell mode when connecting the monitor using displayport cable (the monitor is not detected), it works when HDMI is used though. So just wondering if this dock will address the issue. Thanks!

        • I'm not sure sorry!

  • Only supports 1 monitor for M1 macs, damn :(

    • Limitation of base model Apple Silicon chips unfortunately :( I don't think any dock will support dual displays, unless Pro or Max chip

  • Is 60hz acceptable these days ?

    • I'd probably upgrade if I got a 4K monitor. I'm running dual 2K@144hz, which this dock allows for

    • +1

60hz is fine for work. Tbh if you're on a budget it's fine for gaming too. 144hz+ is nice though
