They are very different products in terms of thunderbolt compatibilities though.

Is it not a thunderbolt dock I believe?

The Belkin one does dual 4K at 60 Hz, whereas yours will only do one 4K at 30 Hz and one 1080p at 60 Hz.

So completely different in terms of capability. 30 Hz is basically unusable for anything other than word processing.

You literally paid more for less… Thunderbolt 3 dock is superior in every possible way…

Dual 4k@60hz vs your Single 4k@30Hz

How could you compare like this?

  • and no usb c

I think no HDMI is a killer here for most

    • +2

Why? Just use an adaptor or a Display port to HDMI cable. Easy workarounds

    • +1

USB-c to hdmi cable solves this with no additional cost at all. They are about the same as a regular (good quality) hdmi cable…
One of the USB-C(Thunderbolt?) port in the back is specifically for a display

Have been using this with my MacBook Pro m2 for last few months. I always use 3 screens (including Mac screen). Use the HDMI to usb c adapter at the back for connecting to one of the monitors. Except running hot I can’t fault this device for the price. Bought it for $149 a few months ago now. Happy to answer any questions for people looking to buy this. I was concerned about it working with the Mac but I’m glad I took a chance. Also often connect this with my windows pc and it works like it should.

Does it need a driver to use it?

      • +5

Definitely if you select delivery rather than pick up

        • 😂

          • @park it: I’ve never needed an additional driver to have a hub work, should be fine

      • +1

        No additional driver needed

    • +1

Do you connect to both monitors via the dock? Or just one via the dock, and the other via another port on the laptop?

      • +1

        Both via dock
