My first post on Ozbargin, it seemed like a good find.
The title on Ebay lists 1TB SSD but when scrolling down it says 512GB SSD so I dunno what's up with that (Has been corrected).
But yeah, with the $300 off it comes down to $1,999 which seems like it's a really good price for what it offers.

This is not a great deal

I got a legion 7840 plus 4060 for less than this upon launch and it’s much better for battery life and has similar performance

    • Isnt the 4070 20% better than 4060 in average, and the 3070ti is better than the 4070? Where's the source that show 4060 has similar performance of 3070ti? Even with the cpu difference, i still dont think they're similar.

      3070 Ti Mobile = 4070 Mobile
      4070 Mobile = 20% faster than 4060 Mobile

This Legion spec has dropped $400 in the last half year so not a great deal but still a decent deal

If the rumours about NV not refreshing 40 series Mobile GPU's is true, gaming laptop pricing will be stagnant until Black Friday 2024

  • got this for $1700 recently with lenovo westpac cashback. TRs will bring it further down

I like this one, comes with an oled screen as well.

ShopBack was giving back 15 % yesterday , it’s currently at 10% so that would bring it down to ~$1,700

I bought it with an extra 16 Gb of ram (32 GB total +$70) and 4 years warranty (+$245) so the total was $2211.63 , after the 15% ShopBack this comes in at around $1880.00.

They have another variant with the 4070 for around $2200 but it doesn’t have the oled display.

Doesn’t seam like there is much difference between a 3070ti and a 4060.

But this video seams to suggest the 3070ti is more powerful but runs 10 degrees hotter.

3070ti is better than the 4060 and equal to the 4070

      • 4070 has +10% effective speed, frame generation, more power efficient with max performance around 100w with 115 max tgp. They are not the same, 4070 is obviously better .

3070 Ti is only +5% effective speed ahead of 4060 so it is more equivalent of a 4060, but without the power efficiency and frame generation.

Source: user benchmarks and other reviews.

        • I was really dumbing it down to the raw performance numbers I've seen, but absolutely agree the 4070 is the better choice, particularly for frame gen.
Jarrod review compared it closer to the 4070 in his vids …
Either way, get a 4070 and leave the 3xxx in the past

  • Well you don’t get the 13-15% Cashback won Ebay so it’s pretty much the same price as Lenovo website with Cashback

    • and cashback takes 3 months to come back to your pocket? And also a high risk if you done something wrong and will never get track then you are screwed …

      • Lenovo website also has Lenovo rewards aside cashback. Cashback is very reliable OzBargain approved method. I never had a Cashback issue in years

        • Also with cashback the receipt shows full amount and it’s GST which can be useful for those claim int tax, TRS etc
