Biltong 35% off (e.g. 1kg $52) + Delivery (Free over $100 Spend) @ The Herd Biltong

180
Bfcm35

I haven't tried this brand but bought some just now to give it a crack.
It seems to be the cheapest biltong around if you spend over $100 otherwise 4hunters would be cheaper.
I ordered a total of 2kg to equal $104 or $52/kg
Enjoy!!!

Pretty good price, even for 1kg it's $67 shipped which is quite good.

would be awesome if they have halal option too.

    • +1

The FAQ section mentions that the beef they use is halal certified (despite the product itself not having certification).

      • +2

I think it's their supplier is halal certified but they can't put that their beef is certified.
If halal is important I wouldn't risk buying from here in all fairness

      • Yeah looking at the same.

  • Who is ozbargains favourite jerky/biltong supplier these days?

    • +3

I like 4 hunters, good stuff and cheap all the time.

    • +2

I've only ordered 4hunters before and they have been good and tasty.. their specials are rarer to come by.
If you leave items in your cart but don't buy, they tend to give a 5% discount.
But I reckon try these guys out.
They have 5 star reviews on Google

I picked a 4hunters pack up from the fancy deli today and the bushman’s one was pretty good. Baseline locked in!

        • +1

If you don't mind chili try that one. Although you can't go wrong with Bushman's /original.
          Great buy buddy

    Bought 2kgs to try.

4hunters is usually my go to but I have been slightly disappointed with them the last few times. Not sure if it's them or me.

    • We are in the same boat brother. Hopefully we don't get disappointed

    • It's them - 4hunters quality is terrible now, pity because they used to be good.

Something happened and the price of the 500g of each flavour increased to $45 instead of $40?

  • No option for lean/fatter cut, wet or dry?

    • I think they only use one cut of meat. Silverside flat?

  • I normally go with the Saffa shop for my biltong needs but can't turn down a bargain. Hope it's just as good.

Ordered on 26th…..still havent received… very disappointing

    • Have they shipped it yet?
      I received mine on Friday
It's very tasty if that helps

Current stage 8th says Parcel picked up
    This is too slow…

    • Mine was picked up on the 1st. Arrived on the 8th in nsw. 1 week after pickup

  • Received and tried today…..cant recommend at all. This is very wet and oily. Doesnt taste good. 4 Hunter Biltong was heaps better in every way

    • The amount of spice and garlic I found was quite decent on these compared to 4hunters. I do agree on the oily part though

      • Sure but cant taste the spice or garlic LOL, only oil taste

        • Hmm mine isn't as bad.. maybe they aren't consistent

  • Received my 2kgs. 2 of the 8 x 250g bags weren't sealed properly and had mold growing inside. Waiting on a replay from them after sending an email. I dont feel comfortable eating any of it now.

    • I've emailed them for a refund too…lets see if they will respond.
      Very disappointed in the product.

    • Oh wow… I guess I got lucky.
That's really bad.. I guess they are off the purchasing list for us..

They are currently on 5 stars. I guess people need to know what the quality is like
