FYI - No need to say "something went wrong" anymore because there is a forum post where you can say it.

Anyway about to go & buy some Aldi 2 minute noodles with Boost profit.

    • +1

1 sim 2 pack of noodles for 5 days of survival. What a deal!

    • +1

But.. what if something really went wrong??

      • +1

He means you mention it under SB's deal, not CR's. Keep it positive here.

        • No I didn't mean that at all. It was just a light hearted comment.

    • didnt work for me :(

  • -2

    Bought 20

  • What does it mean activate by 27 November? If I purchase it now, it won’t arrive for like 3-5 business days..

    • It's from Boost, to get 50GB for first few recharges. It's usually 30GB for $35 pack I think. CB terms is activate within 30days of ordering.

  • Anybody could escape something is wrong not changing his personal info?

    Unobtainable deal 🥲

  • It seems there are no good discounts for the 170BG/12th plan.

    • +1

it's $230 retail, and typically available on ebay for $180 or so, i ended up buying the $300 sim as it was discounted to $250, then minus the $45 cashback brings it to $205..

      $205 (260gb) vs $180 (170gb) was a no brainer for me.. +90gb for +$25.

  • I think Telstra are having more issues than usual today…

I've been trying to activate a Tel$tra sim, keep getting the 'Something went wrong' error, their call center isn't open on weekends, no chat on weekends, lol, what a great service…

    • Try log in first before activating

      • I've tried logged in, and not logged in, on the PC with Chrome, on the phone, with my fingers crossed, everything, lol

edit, managed to get chat to work but only if I was logged out, odd

    • Damn, Floptus flow on effect to Telstra

  • Hey does anyone know if I have activated SIM on my account which has used its 28 day life but cashback hasn't been approved (usually 3 months) - is it still safe to ask the Reps to delete it? or should I wait until cashback is awarded then delete it?

    • +1

You've activated it, thats all that is needed.
I've deleted them before they even expired because they ran out of data, never had one declined.

      • Cheers. Thanks

    • Can i ask after sim activated and passed its 28 day life usage, can i leave it as it is without deleting? Why are you guys deleting it? Tq

      • +1

Yes, you don't have to delete it, but if you have 30+ orders/SIMs, you won't be able to activate more

  • damn, bought one with 16.50 cb, will have to get another one to average up

    • Lucky are those people whose orders still go through

  • It’s been 2 months for me not being able to buy a sim.

The free 28 day sim plan and new number benefits are worth a lot more than the $4-$6 profit

The 10 - 40 or more at a time desperados on here ruined it for us.
I thought abusing a deal that you need for other deals was not the ozbargain way.

    • How did they ruin it? Boost could easily stop doing these deals but they've been going for a long time now.

Have you tried buying one under a family member's name & email?

      • +1

That deal is between boost and the cashback sites.

I’ve worked in logistics and in todays age, any minor suspicious activity , such as bulk delivery to a home address that is not a business , gets flagged and trying to change road to Rd or 10 to 10a makes it worse.

I know the deals have been going on for a while. But communication and actions drag on these days. Someone in logistics or packaging would have flagged this early on and it took boost IT this long to tighten up.
I don’t blame the desperados on here 100 %. Sb and cr should have had a limit on how many you can buy per deal and space out the deals maybe once or twice a month.

For anyone facing "Sorry, can't do that…" I used to face same issue before. I tried changing card/email/phone and even address nothing works.

The only thing that worked is go to your boost app, see the expired Sim cards and call /chat with boost to cancel expired cards (only do that if you actually received the cashback for that card, otherwise, you might not get it if number is cancelled beforehand).

This obviously requires you to keep track of Sim cards you got and which one you got the cashback for and which you didn't, so you can cancel the right ones.

Not the easiest solution but it's the only one that worked with me.

    • This is potentially a legendary comment. Gonna follow this suggestion now and go and cancel all my old ones then and see if this helps.

      • +1

Just tried this and it didn't work for me..

    • One thing about this point:

(only do that if you actually received the cashback for that card, otherwise, you might not get it if number is cancelled beforehand).

Cancellation should have no impact on the cashback. The condition for getting the cashback is activating it within 30 days. Technically you could activate it within 30 days and cancel it after one day of activation. It should have no impact on the cashback..

But of course you could always counter that with "why risk it?"

And the response to that would then be… "so you could continue to get more profit from Boost" - assuming your suggestion works, that is. It didn't for me lol

    • The only thing that worked is go to your boost app, see the expired Sim cards and call /chat with boost to cancel expired cards

Didn't work for me but glad it may work for some people.

  • All time highest for me (missed the $6+ offers) cheers!

  • Dare we dream of a $7 profit deal come Monday…?

  • no tracking yet after ~12 hours

  • Anybody’s order actually shipped yet?
