Hi everyone. I made a purchase at JB Hi Fi for my mac (>2k) and my name on the tax invoice did not match with my passport. Will they be able to change my name on the tax invoice? I’m just wanna ask before going to the store because the store is quite far away from my location. Thanks a lot🙏🏻🙏🏻

What's the issue about the name not matching? What is it going to change?
I don't think you will have a Warranty issue or anything else like that. Its more the serial number matching and it being a proof of purchase.

I had a similar issue and they couldn't reissue my tax invoice. In fact, they didn't even send me the SMS receipt that I had opted for.
Just change your name to match the invoice and get a new passport.

years ago i came across the same problem (invoice name =/= passport name) for my mac purchased at $2.5k, and TRS wouldnt process and I couldnt get GST back. Not sure if anything has changed since

Man, if only there was a way to contact the store to ask your question so that you didn't have to go to the store from your far away location, instead of relying on the opinion of others on an internet forum.
