Hunting for an air purifier and came across this. Seems comparable to the Levoit Core 300s. Filter replacements ~$35, to be replaced every 12 months.

I was getting tempted by the bigger units but I only wanted it for the bedroom
Ive done a lot of research into these, i ultimately went with Xiaomi units (compact and pro 4) because of their CADR (ie clean air delivery rate). These are fine at this price point- if you can get a unit that does ~150-200 CADR then they're all about the same price across the board. The bigger Xiaomi units do up to 500 CADR so its really dependent on your usage (big vs small room).
I've currently got the Breville Smart Air plus and thats great, with a big colourful indicator on air quality - never realised it was so bad!.
How’s trusens z-3000 in your research? Bought it less than half. It has 4 stage filters. Was looking at Samsung ax90
That's what I wonder, but I worry that after a year or two the filters will be hard to source and not at a Great price either :/
The Xiaomi filters are an absolute shocking price right now.
That's my exact fear :( I don't wanna buy local cos Xiaomi has the better feature set but damn the filters.
xiaomi filters are inferior and cost more
plus finding cheapo generic filters of acceptable quality are readily available for philips models, usually $25
not to mention the lifespan of xiamoi units are from 3 - 6mths where as philips are 12-24mths
also have you verified the CDR claims? this is xiaomi we are talking about, philips on the other hand you know what you are getting
Does this have a negative ionizer? I love my Xiaomi 3H but I've been looking for one without it for my parents and unfortunately the later Xiaomi have it and the old ones have extremely expensive filters now.
aren't negative ionizer's meant to be good?
It improves filter rate and some other weird benefits on the body but it also has some negative impacts as well. https://www.healthline.com/health/what-does-an-ionizer-do#dr…
Who has the cheapest aftermarket filter with plenty of stock.
This is the real question
philips generics are usually available for $25 on ebay delivered
i have one for a 1000 series unit, haven't used it yet but looks good quality, paper filter has less surface area though - not as many folds, active carbon looks comparable - which is what matters imho
original 1000 series filter still going strong after 16 months - surrounded by houses that use stone age heating, winter was a nightmare before the air filter
i need to move to an acerage or something, people suck
Does this have wifi. My breville has wifi and it's great to set up timers throughout the week. Looking for the same.
Sure does.
That's good. My 1015 doesn't have wifi. I use a smart plug to set timer. Usually they run 24/7 though. When power on it starts automatic from last setting
How does this compare to the Breville Easy Connect Air Purifier currently going for $124 in sale?
We have this for a small bedrooms, got it for a similar price. Happy with it as this series reviewed decently. Considered the 1000i but this was way cheaper and filters are cheaper for smaller models too. Smaller footprint too.
While it doesn't have a lot of details on the display, it does have a little ring indicator on top that will change colour based on overall air quality. That's enough for us, and it gives us all the usual stats in the Air app.
Got Philips 1015 I believe it is. Great units and can feel the difference. Currently we had big bushfires and it took most smoke smell from the air. Have a air sensor in house and saw big changes when on. Same there. Around $35-40 to replace filter. Just ordered new ones as said replace after fires. 9 months.
