  • I am in the market for an entry level. This seems above entry level. Have my eye on Donner but not sure how good they are.

This is the best entry level full sized keyboard with realistic keys. Rarely in stock.

    • +1

I have the Donner SE-1. Have it connected via a USB C hub with an Audio Out to an iPad Pro and it works flawlessly without any audio latency from the Piano or iPad. Keys are fully weighted and has Bluetooth Midi if needed as well. I would definitely suggest the Donner if you're looking for something starter level. Paid $450 for mine, couldn't be happier but I'm fully aware the Roland is more "well received" as a whole. Not many Donner Reviews out there but Jeremy See on YT has a great review.

  • Very good entry level keyboard for serious learners, i rate it

If you're just starting I suggest buying one off Facebook to gauge your own interest before committing too much money. Can pick up 88key weighted ones for 2-300 used.

But if you're set on new then this is decent along with Yamaha p45

    • Rate this. Also from most of my googling on this topic recently I recall Casio CTS300 being quite highly rated for beginners in terms of sound, full size keys and realism of key responsiveness - though it is a 61 key unit. Can be had for ~$250 on ebay sales after codes.

  • Bavasmusic got the bundle if anyone is interested for $857.22

  • Can you help me choose? How come I feel Yamaha has a better sound?

    • Sound is just flavours and seasoning, it's all subjective.

However FP-10 key action seems a bit nosier than the Yamaha and that's something that you'll either not care about or will drive you up the wall. However at this price the Roland is a great deal

  • It's only 6% off, doesn't seem that great a deal or am I missing something?

    • Digital pianos don't go on bargain basement sales. In fact prices have gone up at least 10-20% since the pandemic, this is an entry level model too, not a lot of room to move I think

      • And you don't get to combine with TCB offer of $30 cap every day.
