HN is the king of deals. I salute

  • Seems like a good laptop

    • More expensive, i7.

  • +2

I got the 16in version with ryzen 7 Apu and 32gb. It's a great laptop.

    • +2

How much did that cost? Still available?

    • @RedFoxAU plez halp

      • I know you know. Share your wisdom

      • Me?
I’m just half looking, personally looking at intel 6 or 8 p-cores, 16gb/4060.

That one you link has only 8gb btw. So this one i5.

    • Get the Lenovo Yoga Slim 6i.
The intel CPU is thermally better (read better battery life) with marginally better performance plus it has Thunderbolt 4.
The ram in the yoga series tend to be soldered so I'd stick with the Slim 6i as it has 16GB (8GB only for the Slim 7 Pro).

      • Hey you. I appreciate you. 🙏

    • This is the cheapest OLED I've seen brand new.. Nice find.

      • +3

It's not OLED, it's IPS. Don't go by the generic marketing info for the series which lists OLED. Always look at the specs.

    • 8GB of soldered RAM is an immediate disqualification for anything above $500 imo. So this deal’s better.

    • 8GB Ram is a massive deal breaker for me. Much shorter lifespan

  • Is there much difference between this 12th gen processor to the 13th Gen

    • 1 gen.

…but not really same P/E cores from memory

  • +1

Anyone know whether this laptop or any other laptop in the AU market (other than a macbook) has a mini LED screen?

    • Same with Domayne, where you could potentially pick up to avoid delivery fee.

    • Good pickup, deal updated

  • +1

    …Dolby Vision?
    …on an IPS panel?
    Dolby Vision? IPS?
    Uhh… someone tell him.

    • Screen is better on this one and its a lot lighter .

  • does it have touchscreen?

    • According to the specs, it doesn't look like it has touch screen

  • The e-gift card can only be used in the next purchase, can't it?

  • Oooooo this is tempting.

  • This seems like similar specs with 360 folding screen for +$100..thoughts? https://www.harveynorman.com.au/lenovo-ideapad-flex-5i-14-in…

    • Have fun waiting in the virtual queue.

      • Ooo DDoS?

      • 5 minute queue then 10min to shop (before I guess it boots you off?)

Does anyone have any recommendations for a similar specified laptop with touchscreen? Thanks

  • This vs a HP Pavilion Plus for $748 (https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/hp-pavilion-plus-14-ew003…) or R5 Microsoft Surface Laptop 4?

    • For what it's worth the hp is almost half a kilo lighter.

      • Isn't the Lenovo 1.35kg and HP 1.49kg? Or have I got it wrong?

        • Oops! don't what I was looking at, sorry.

  • Looks like this is touchscreen whereas the HP pavillion isnt?

  • Just ordered it off domayne, looks like it's on backorder.

  • is this touchscreen?

  • Purchased and tested. Can run AAA+ at 720p low settings. Keep in mind it will require torx screws to get inside. I think they're 8 but i could be wrong. Not much documentation available for the innards, my guess is that it's a single nvme slot and no ram upgrade.

  • In case anyone was wondering, requires torx t4 and quite a struggle to get the back plate off. There is only (1) m.2 nvme port inside (already populated as standard).
