Hi all,
Was looking to buy an Apple Watch and open to looking at variants like SE, Series 8 or Series 9 (GPS preferably and the bigger watch option, 44mm for SE or 45mm for Series 8 and Series 9)
I am aware Apple currently has an $80 gift card associated with buying the SE or Series 9 up until the 27th of November but was wondering whether there are any alternative deals or ways to get the actual product cheaper.
Not sure if a new SE version of the Apple Watch came out in 2023 but I looked at Officeworks and they advertised a series SE 44mm 2022 for $377 compared to $449 at Apple.
I haven't really looked at Series 8 deals yet but heard there isn't much difference in features between the Series 8 and 9 so the 8 would be the cheaper option if I was to buy from somewhere other than Apple.
Series 9 is selling for $699 for the 45mm variant at Apple and Officeworks is selling it for $656 (thought Costco would be selling it cheaper but noticed it's currently $670 with them).
I also tried chatting with an Apple support specialist about price matching with another authorized reseller like Officeworks, but they stated that doing so would make me ineligible for the $80 gift card promotion so I will be calling them tomorrow to confirm if this definitely the case.
Looking for advice and possible suggestions into which model to go for and any better deals on any of them (I know SE is cheaper than Series 8 or 9 but if the latter are a better deal then I would go for them)
I think someone recently posted a deal for 5% off giftcards or something similar, if you could also input those suggestions that would be appreciated.
Thanks guys :D
Edit: I’m also aware there is an upsized 8% cashback offer tomorrow which applies only to the Watch SE.
Just went thru this last week for an SE. Good guys has it for $346. I got Officeworks to beat over the phone (insert jokes here) and posted out for $328.70.
Mind you, they have delayed my shipping for unknown reasons, got an email says it's delayed by a week. Hope that helps.
