  • well that's cheaper than v-max

Seems to exclude latest release - films marked as NFT are still showing as $30.

    Otherwise it's a good deal.

  • I just got a message from Village Movie Club ( I'm not with Optus) I think this special is for everyone, valid until 31 October 2012.

doesn't seem like a bargain after receiving the gold class treatment for $10 from the amex promotion a few months back :)

  • I went and saw Taken 2 for $20 dollars today at the sunshine complex in Victoria. I booked 3 tickets online and there was also a $15 booking fee. I also think they have $10 tickets Monday to Friday before 5pm running at the moment as well.

$15 booking fee?? Wow…these guys are even worse than airline credit card fees….how can booking 3 movie tickets online possible justify a $15 fee!

Now I remember why I haven't been to Gold Class in well over 5 years…

      • If the company was smart they would just include the booking fee in the price. It looks so bad to a consumer to see an additional booking fee. Event Cinemas is charging $35+ for peak time sessions.

  • The ticket price above DOES NOT include the cost of 3D glasses. Customers require 3D glasses to watch a Village Digital 3D film; re-usable 3D glasses are available at the cinema ticket box and candy bar for $1.
Tickets for VMAX include a $2 surcharge. Tickets for all Village Digital 3D sessions include a $3 surcharge.
$1 booking fee per ticket applies to Traditional and Cinema Europa tickets.
$5 booking fee per ticket applies to Gold Class tickets.
Gold Class ticket prices are standard for all patrons.
Child = children 14 years or younger (kids under 3 go free provided they sit on a parents/guardians lap at all times).
Student/Pensioner = holder of a valid student or pension card.

    • Not including 3D glasses is pretty common for movie ticket promotions.

      • thats why I have about 27 pairs at home so when I organise an outing we save a good 20 bux just on that.

you can use them on your passive 3D TV - Pretty sure there was an ozbargain on LG 3D TV's a while back

  • Edit title = $25. Meh-bargain

  • Do these deals include free popcorn?

  • I'm never going to the cinema again, went on Saturday morning 10am, for 1 child and 1 adult to see madagascar3d was $21.50 for adult $16.50 for child and $6 for 2 glasses!! And they wonder why people download them.

    • You need to get screen saver tickets!
I watch movies at village all the time for around $11 a ticket for Adult.
      Kids - $9
Students - unsure, you can get these only at schools/universities.

They last for 1 year, and the Village Coupons you can use online, i believe the hoyts ones you cannot.
If you like watching movies at the cinemas, it is def worth buying a book of 10.

You can use Screensavers for NFT sessions too, only time you cannot use them is i think Saturday after 5PM but every other day you can use them when ever.

  • They have gold class in Tasmania?!..

  • whats the normal price of Gold Class?

    • $39 each + booking fee
