LG 55" OLED EVO G3 4K UHD Smart TV (2023) $3090 + Delivery ($0 to Select Cities/in-Store) @ Appliance Central

Here's one for those of us who are still rocking a 55 banger in their bedrooms.

I've tried putting a 65" in my bedroom but it looked ridiculous so I went back to a 55".

I currently have an S95B and looking to either get the G3 or A95L if/when there's a more significant price drop.

Note: The 65" can be had for $3,299 per the link below…

$3500 for the 65G3 at jb hifi, this doesn't seem like a good deal unless you prefer a smaller TV

    • Thank you, I knew I forgot something.

I myself want to buy a 55" G3 or C3 but now having second thoughts. The reason, funnily enough, is I got too good of a deal which is unobtainable further and now I fear I'll have serious cognitive dissonance by proceeding at a higher price.

I paid $2589.30 for an LG 65" G3 on Monday by buying from LG direct with the Spin and Win 30% coupon I was award with, stacked on top of the current discounted price and free delivery.

Further I tracked on Cash Rewards for $235.39 (was supposed to be 10% but it comes in less as the delivery is subtracted), to an estimated final price of $2353.91 for the G3 65". Damn.

    • Outstanding price, congrats!
I reckon I could tolerate a 65" for that kind of coin lol.

      • Yeah it's bananas. I told the wife that I'd still get a 55" but can't bare to do it now, knowing I could have gotten a 65" cheaper by $500 than it :(

Honestly, regardless of room, you made the right choice. Absolutely a no brainer. Enjoy the TV, it's a thing of beauty!

          • @Maths Debater: Oh I should point out, I still really need a 55" additionally I mean to say haha.. I will just have to wait until a deeper discount and put up with my current bedroom TV. I realise it hurts to hear good deals that are unobtainable but appreciate the celebration :)

            • @tommypickles: Ah huh, have you considered the S90C or is Dolby Vision a must?

              • @Maths Debater: Yeah I want to stick with LG for the Dolby Vision and simplification of a singular tv system experience.

I almost pulled the trigger earlier on an amazing A95K 65" TBH but knew having two LGs would be a better choice.

@tommypickles: Yeah, that's fair enough. There's no doubt that they make a ripper telly, especially love the ease of WebOS and the Magic Mouse. We should see a further price drop on the 55" soon.

                  • @Maths Debater: Yeah seems the 55" isn't as heavily discounted this time around. Might just mean they'll save it for a run on Boxing Day or the typical post-CES March price drop.

"I've tried putting a 65" in my bedroom and it looked ridiculous"

Too small? Because it sounds too small. If it doesn't take up all of your peripheral vision then why are you even bothering?

At least that's been my mantra for many years. Now that I have an 85" all my dreams are fulfilled and I have nothing left to live for.

    • Too small? I don't live in a mansion.
