    low latency in heavy workloads(storagereview.com)

Wow, those 970 Evo Pluses are still kicking ass.

  • How is this for the PS5?

    • Great, but you need a heatsink

  • Can this be used for the recent acer swift x laptop deal

    • +1

The Swift X (SFX14-71G to be specific in that deal it seems) does indeed take full sized NVME drives like this, and the 71G model does support gen 4 as well.

That said, this years model (71G) seems to only have one NVME slot so you would have to take out the drive it comes with. A shame, the older models had an extra unused slot that people could use to add a second NVME. It looks like they had to sacrifice the second slot to make the battery bigger.

  • Would this be suitable as a main drive for a rig such as this? https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/256116119734

      Yep

If you add something that qualifies for the buy 2 things get 12% off, you can essentially make it even cheaper.

    Delivery by Feb 2024…

    • you were not joking, damn that is a ways away.

  • Is it worthed? compared to samsung 980 pro or other brands?

  • How does this hold up against 990 pro? Never looked into firecuda

  • Thanks, grabbed one for my bro-in-law's PS5 & one for mine (+ 2x Sabrent PS5 heatsinks ~$29.74ea.)

  • I'm still waiting for them to ship. How are other orders looking?

I know original listing said "Delivery Feb 2024" and that Amazon stacks suppliers, but current listing shows 'ships in 3-4 days' so got hopeful others had shipped
