This is a great price… great product. Got it for cost price over a year ago, which was $140 at the time. That was a great price then.
Can anyone comment on how this compares to the PlayTV (PS3 accessory)?
PlayTV integrates with the PS3. The Elgato uses a Mac or PC. The Diversity also supports two antennae to offer two tuners or combined power for one.
Assuming you know the obvious differences, having used both, eyeTV is much more stable and not as modal as the Playstation solution.
If you're someone like me who leaves their computer on all the time, eyeTV is lightweight and runs in the background without any drag on resources, at least on my 27" iMac. That said, the eyeTV usb stick will wake your computer up automatically if you have a scheduled recording when the computer is asleep.
eyeTV is a much more usable, day to day solution, for me at least.

It's a really good price, but I guess I just don't record much FTA TV anymore…
