Yep, that's right! That's what makes it so awesome.
However, if your table has a backplate or not deep enough, then you'll need to find an alternative.
Also supports grommet
Are you sure? It specifically says "C-Clamp Desktop Installation" and the manual doesn't seem to offer an alternative?
@gkc135: Yes, I'm sure. It comes with parts specifically for mounting in a grommet.
This video mentions it
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_s-ZZ9J2RDQ&t=130s
The official product page also mentioned "C-Clamp & Grommet" although it only shows C-Clamp in the video
https://www.lg.com/au/it-monitors/lg-32un88a-w
32UN88A-W is the same product as 32UN88A. The W just means it has a white back.
Happy to find more links if you are still unsure but I'm certain it can be grommet mounted (because I own one and have seen the parts).
its a black friday deal. not a price error
Aside from the low profile stand, where exactly is the value add on this monitor compared to the slew of $250-$300 4K monitors going on sale at the moment?
I'm not seeing it, so far more sensible to target one of those that has decent ICC/settings profiles on the internet or has good stock calibration.
You may find your answer here.
Also, a 4k 31.5" for $250?
For real?
Boy, you're salty af aincha
@jrchurvnjef: No, I'm explaining how fundamentally this is bad value in every way you can dream up, save for creative ways to fritter cash away.
Exactly how I feel about the iPhone mate. 😅
@Lord Ra: No that actually has innovative software and expansive tech implementations… this isn't even prosumer in nature, let alone a mastering tool.
the different is IPS vs VA panel, IPS is my must have for monitor. 4k ips 32" cheapest I ever known is $450. But this monitor is rather old model with old spec IPS panel now, not a attractive deal though.
I'm referring to IPS monitors.
kogan has a type-c powered 32" 4k IPS monitor for under $400
also a 32" QHD IPS for $239
was kind of hoping black friday would improve the competition, haven't see anything so far

What refresh rate is it?
If they don't specifically advertise it, it's almost always 60 (which it is in this case).
Does anyone know why everyone is frothing over this LG monitor (as per other amazon post https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/813224) and not the Lenovo L32P-30 ( https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/813198 )
Both similarly spec'd. Both IPS panels.
I truly don't understand. Does anyone know? Just don't know why the significant interest in the LG more? Is it the brand? Or is that monitor arm on the LG the biggest selling point?
There is a spec comparison here: https://www.displayspecifications.com/en/comparison/f0981543…
From my point of view, the arm is worth more than a webcam. I spent $50 for a 2nd hand arm. A good, new arm would cost much more.
I see, so it costs you an arm, but not a leg.
(also, thanks for the insight. appreciate).
Lenovo is 90% DCI-P3, LG is 95%
Does this monitor support multiple concurrent inputs (the PnP feature in Dell's terminology)?
Thanks
Does this have USB ports in it to act as a hub?
Yes, two USB ports that work when the USB-C cable is connected
Wow thanks for the reply. Looks like the specs on the site omit this - important info!
So it only has this weird arm - would I have to get a generic normal stand if I wanted one?
if the monitor arm isn't suitable than get a different monitor that fits your setup
This deal is attractive because it comes with an excellent IPS screen (aimed at productivity purposes, not gaming) and a premium monitor arm with built-in cable management. The monitor arm can be clamped to the desk or be installed in a grommet hole. If you really want this monitor but can't mount the monitor arm with the c clamp or through a grommet hole, you would need to purchase a third party VESA mount stand.
ughhh.. Just received the monitor but it seems the 60w PD isnt working? I have a Aorus 15 laptop and im pretty sure i need higher wattage (90+) but i read that even if its 60, it should at least still charge but slowly?
Right now it doesnt look like its even charging. :(
not all usb c cables are created equal.. you would need the usbc that allows pd charging, you can find it roughly on amazon for 8-17 dollars.
Mmm I figured that if I used the cable it came with, it should work. I tried my partners laptop and it charges. I tried using my partners monitor and my laptop and it charges.
Might give another cable a try~
Any reason not to get it over the G3222 from Dell? The 60hz seems like a limitation?
Reading this in bed it looks like it comes with a monitor arm???
