Westpac Altitude Velocity Black Rewards

Hi everyone,

I just recently got the Westpac Altitude Velocity black card and am having trouble accessing the rewards tab on both the app and online banking.
An error "We are currently experiencing technical errors with the Westpac Rewards and Offers hub and are actively looking to resolve this. Please try again later." appears and the only thing i can see is shopback offers.

I called Westpac and they said it is because I've chosen the Velocity rewards, so I cannot see the offers. I think this a bit dumb considering AMEX doesn't hide rewards/offers just because you've chosen a certain program to go with.

Does anyone else have this issue?

Spoke with another Westpac Rep, and they mentioned that it was a widely known issue and are 'working' to resolve this.
will continue to check app/online banking daily for another week.

Not a good first impression.

  • Same issue here. Been like that since I setup the card two weeks ago. I also can’t seem to see anywhere how many velocity or altitude points for that matter I have collected. Anyone an idea if that is somewhere hidden in the app?

  • Finally started working, with rewards visible - no offers just yet. Can anyone see the amount of points earned (non-altitude, Qantas or Velocity)?

    • No for Velocity.

      • Shame, Amex app shows all the points earned for my Qantas Platinum. After last night's incident, Westpac really needs to step up its game.

    • I have the Qantas Platinum, couldnt see the progress. Only able to see what I accumulated each month from the statement.

  • Do points automatically get credited to your Velocity account? I'm waiting for my sign-up bonus points

    • Yes, once your statement is issued
