iPad 3 64GB WiFi $629.95 @ ShoppingSquare - what's wrong with it?

Just wondering what members think of this deal at http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_400137_Apple_The_New_iPAD… after watching the deal expire here on the same thing for a dearer price.

I just wondered because this just expired Ozbargain deal had a dearer price but generated a lot of excitement http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/81311

Am I missing something here, the two are different in someway?

  • Your link is Wi-Fi only, it has a shipping and handling charge of $38.95, and it's from Shopping Square.

  • So there's something wrong with shopping sqaure then? Sorry but I don't know it, haven't dealt with it and yes I see my mistake missing the 3G bit.

    Thxs.

    • They have something of a bad reputation. A lot of people here report having negative experiences with them, though I never have. It's pretty much a hit or a miss, with SS.

  • Thxs PD for the reply. What about this mob and their deal? http://www.iibuy.com.au/apple-new-ipad-3-unlocked-wifi-64gb-…

  • Thxs for both your comments. I know nothing about Apple and have avoided them for years but I've been told to get an iPAD for my daughters upcoming 19th, I was happy to go android as I know that kinda gear and a Galaxy tab would do me but…the handbrake has spoken so I have to but an iPAD pronto.

I didn't realise the slight price difference between Apple and this store…I'll go check their store out I guess…Thxs again for the advice, much appreciated.

  • +1

Apple may restrict service to the country where Apple or its authorised distributors originally sold the Apple product.

This seems to be new as Apple is known to have global warranty on their products apart from the iphone 5. Looks like they had enough of repairing grey imports.

  • If you are a member of RACQ or know someone who is - you can buy WISH giftcards for 5% off.
I buy them in $200 denominations to do my grocery shopping and fill up on fuel at Caltex.
I do know they are also valid at Dick Smith, so essentially you can get 5% off Dick Smith (where you can then purchase your ipad 3) - https://www.membergiftcards.com.au/racq/home. They send the cards to me with free postage and via registered post :)
