As part of the Black Friday sales Amazon has most of the Swann security camera systems discounted. The one in the title is normally around $1100 (although they often have "vouchers" I've noticed.

Personally I have no experience with the Swann systems. We have a Reolink at the office and once it was upgraded (firmware etc) it's been great.

Anyone have experience with the Swann systems? Interested in comments.

  do not buy swann , period… use to sell the junk..heaps of returns and faults.. and software is very average

    Swann is my only experience with cameras and yeah the software is junk. I have a reolink system ready to install, hopefully it is a little better, I have only heard good things

      Reolink was pretty average but in the last year they've had some major updates to software etc. I"m happy with the setup at our office. Sounds like Swann is pretty shit so I'll prob go with Reolink for home if they have a good system on sale.

  Pick Reolink over Swann every time. The extra money is worth it.

      Very slightly different cameras - I'd lean toward the package I linked above rather than the Amazon one as the camera design is newer and has slightly better features.

      If you're willing to consider a refurbished kit direct from Reolink it's even cheaper - $535 after coupon

          @tonydav: I prefer dome/turret cameras at home, as they are less visually obtrusive.

            @klaw81: Ended up buying the bullet one that you linked to. Extra 22% coupon. Plus a couple of 12MP cameras to add. All up $711. Excellent value I think.

    Thanks again for suggesting this. Excellent price and the bonus (that I hadn't realised) is that it all works perfectly with my office system on the same apps. Just change the main server.

    Still getting it installed but so far really happy. Very glad I didn't go with the Swann.
