  • I got an extra $10 off with AUHI10OFF

    • Odd, didnt work for me!

      • Me neither. Bummer.

      • Applies to first home improvement purchase only.

  • i need E27 :(((

    • -1

So do most people, hence why B22 is on special

I need both…silly old house has both lol

        This was rediculous price

      • +1

Hmm… every house I've been in has had B22!

      Adapters are a couple bucks

      • I had 1 set atm, just want to buy extra in case 1 is down =)

      • Australian certified adapters? I know Ikea stopped selling theirs…

        • +2

Apparently they’re dangerous to use, are any certified to use in Australia?

  • How many lumens on these bulbs? 800 or 1100?

    • If it doesn't say, it's 800 lumen. The 1100 or even 1600 lumen bulbs cost a lot more.

  • Thanks. Grabbed one. I bet these will quickly go OOS when everyone sees it in the morning.

I might see if I can pull the B22 fitting off and replace it with an E27 one rather than using an adaptor.

  • Must resist! I've moved on to buying zigbee bulbs from AliExpress for about $8 reach 18w rgbw E27 fittings only. Been excellent and super bright. Can't believe I was paying $40 per Phillips hue bulb with equivalence in brightness and only white light.
But this is a good deal especially if you need a hub.

    • How is the colour range? Hue is pretty good in this regard I find, others don't have great spectrum that I've tried.

      • I don't really use colour so can't really say

    • Can you post a link please?

    Good find OP

  • I'm completely new to all this
I snapped up a B22 Colour Starter Pack with Button AND also a white only version.
Sent a link to a family member and they also decided to get on it.
My question is if we put all this into one house. Would it mean 3 extra buttons that are effectively useless and 3 extra hubs that we also will never really need as they are excess. Is that how it works?
    Everything together came to $178.34
We proceeded because we thought $178.34 for 6 white globes, 6 white/colour globes, 4 buttons, 4 hubs was outstanding value but really we don't know.

Any suggestions for what to do with what I assume will be stuff we won't need?
    Thank you very much.

    • Main issue is that the extra hubs aren’t needed - can gift to others given it normally sells for $60-99 each. On the other hand, you couldn’t get all the other bulbs and switches for the same price

      • So could maybe do something like auction off the hubs on eBay (starting price of $1). So if you want a lot of Philips bulbs, sounds like we have done it a smart way. Are more than one switch useful?

        • +1

Yes, multiple switches can be useful. My wife and I use have a switch each on each side of the bed. It’s also programmable, so the switch can be set to our personal settings

    That’s a good price. Wish I saw this earlier…
