Harvey Norman seemingly has exclusive deals on Asus laptops and just bought this one yesterday for my very happy daughter, who is one of the many (Google search it or read my comments) to have experienced the cracked screen defect on her Apple MacBook.

Didn't realize when I bought it, but extra sweet, it came with an Asus pen.

Touchscreen, back-lit keyboard, 360 degree flip into tablet, daughter very happy with sound and claims "ultimate durability" which is something, whatever their other merits, Apple MacBooks don't have.

4 year member and still dont know how to post properly.

    Price and store in title.

  • I'd be looking at the Yoga 7 instead at this price if you needed a 2 in 1. Much better CPU/iGPU

OLED screen too but that can have cons (battery life, burn in).

    • Almost bought that at a (Black Friday Deal) similar price (even spoke to a very nice and very helpful Lenovos sales rep named Jamal), but didn't like some of the negative reviews from purchasers and given what happened with her MacBook Pro bought less than two years ago (totally not fit for purpose for a school laptop in my opinion) liked their promise of being "tough and durable" and couldn't find the same from Lenovo. I was even looking at paying the $1,999 if Black Friday didn't change that, but then noticed HN has these deals on this and other Asus models.

Maybe I'm wrong, but waith Asus I think I'm also buying from democratic Taiwan, so that's a nice change.

    • Wow, that's even better. Should I talk to Harvey Norman and try and match that?

Spoke to the store on HN's 7 day price match guarantee and he's going to speak to the manager and get back to me.

Thanks, will do, the more sound advice the better.

HN was great as usual. They have matched Bing Lee even though it seems it could have been excluded as below. I say that bercause they didn't even want to sell a second one at that price for my younger daughter, which I will now order from Bing Lee thanks mardetanha8033.

'Products with pricing set significantly lower than the recommended retail price or market value.'

    • haha they always say that, and sometimes even show you a fake floor stock cost price.

Yep that exclusion is a pretty grey one, but they did the right thing by me and other experiences have been the same with HN. And the fact that they wouldn't price match a second one suggests it was probably true this time.
