Honestly, wearing an acrylic beanie or acrylic socks… I'd rather just wear a plastic bag since its the same thing at a fraction of the price with the added benefit of being waterproof.
Now I think about it I don't think these would be safe on a worksite, that's a pretty combustible blend. From the acrylic fires I've heard of, e.g. embers from campfires, it doesn't seem like much of a stretch for an angle grinder or welder to be able to light these.
And yet, a workwear brand makes socks from it, and they review well.
Shrug.
