    Note that it says 'up to', Shazam often offers me 1-2 months when it's available, I imagine (when I get home) my PS5 will give me like 2-4 months worth of free Apple Music

    99% of the time yes. Most artists post to both services. Personally haven’t found a song that isn’t available on both platforms, though some artists, usually those just starting out with a very small audience, will only post on spotify.

      No, it doesn't. I tried the free Apple Music back a few months ago, but not the full library like Spotify. Spotify is better. I rarely used Apple Music, their playlist is awful vs Spotify.

        I guess it depends on what you listen to. Again, based on personal experience I have never found the music i want that’s only available in spotify and not apple music, and vice versa. Definitely YMMV.

    I feel like the Apple Music library has a bit less than Spotify.

    Apple Music Pros:
    Lossless music - Spotify only does 320kbps from what I remember, and they've been talking about lossless for years, with no result
    Cloud music - can upload local files on one device, like my Macbook, and listen to them on my iPhone
    Karaoke mode - provides lyrics, but also removes the vocals on select songs

    Spotify pros:
    Better playlist suggestions - Apple seems to just give the same playlist suggestions over and over again. Spotify has the AI DJ, plus their discover playlists seem to be in tune with what you're listening to
    Music selection - everyone uploads to Spotify
    Google Home integration - Spotify can output music via Google Home and Airplay out of the box. Apple Music only supports Airplay. There might be third-party solutions though?

      Karaoke mode is only available on apple devices with the A13 or newer, i believe.

        Oh, I've only had a 13PM and a 15 Pro, I thought it was standard. I think it's on Apple TV devices too?

  So tried redeeming this, turns out your not an 'eligible returning customer' if you have previously held an apple music subscription in the last 3 years. Spoke to a so-called 'senior advisor' who claims that its the T&Cs but couldn't locate where it was written himself. Sounds like bllcks to me. I have left feedback but the senior advisor claims unlikely that they will respond & there is no complaints department. What a joke!
