      • thanks

I have Koda 16 and sorry to say size does matter..
If someone looking to buy pizza oven, the 20% off the roccbox at $639 (further discount by using discounted gift cards to buy from BBQ galore) would be a better buy, considering you get included perforated peel.
You should also look at this 16" gas oven for $599 Portofino 16" Gas Pizza Oven

    • Actually saw the Portofino in store yesterday and initial impressions were good (purley going on look and feel).

Would anyone have any first hand reviews? Seems to be a realtively new product and I can't seem to find any online.

I understand the oven comes with free pizza peel and the oven has U shape flame not the L shaped in Koda 16, so will be more even cooking than the Koda 16. I could not find stone thickness from the manual, but most likely is 15mm as well. So watch out Ooni, all new ovens are starting to come in Australia at much more reasonable prices.

        • Oohh hadn't noticed that u-shape burner, very interesting!

FYI the Gasmate Portofino 16" currently $499 at HN

I have a 12" pizza oven. I really wish I got something bigger

I really wish I got something bigger

      Blame your parents….

    • I bough the Ooni 12" before the 16" existed and really wish I'd waited.

    • It's fine for 4 to 5.

  • plus 10% cashback from Shopback at DJs?

    • Until 7pm max cashback $20

I have this (the 12" Koda). There is definitely a bit of "it would be easier to turn the pizza in something bigger", but it still makes great pizzas, and the size is super easy to just pick up and set up anywhere (like going on holiday etc).

Also feels like it uses barely any wood at this size.

      Koda 12" use wood?

        Barely

Well damn my reading comprehension. I have the Karu. But if you ignore that it applies to the wrong oven, then everything is still accurate.

Imo, if it's your first time getting into pizza ovens and you're trying to convince yourself to only fork out for a 12", you're better off saving over half the cost and getting one of these from Bunnings - they run fantastic especially for the price and that it includes a pizza peel(and other accessories, which I works out can add quite a significant amount on top of other ovens).

Checking out what others have made in this posted in the Jumbuck Pizza Oven FB group convinced me to get one and I have no regrets

Agreed. Got the original Monro from Coles couple years back for $150 and still using it - this is a pizza we cooked from it https://imgur.com/a/nnqc1Q9

      • have coles also, but hope more 16” ovens hit the market, especially with a front door for quicker heat up and less gas useage.

      Keep your secrets pizza man

    • Wow there so many knock offs now!

Had my koda 12 for 3 years now and very happy with it!

      • lots of 12” knock offs now, question is how many 16” knock offs follow, or the space, weight and extra costs for retailers means limited demand ?

  • Roccbox for slightly more at bbq’s galore with discount gift cards or ooni 12”? What would people recommend?

    • +1

I have Koda 16 and would recommend RB over Koda 12 specially if small difference in price.

      • Cheers. Yeh the koda 16 is too exxy.

  • There is a new kid in the block, 16" gas oven with rotating stone for $999 Everdure Kiln R-Series Gas Pizza Oven

    • oooo interesting. I'll watch these

Bought one of these a week ago and it’s the best $990 I’ve ever spent!
2 burners and rotating stone is a game changer.
      No complaints at all.
