These kind of barebones Mini PCs have been shared a lot lately with both Kamrui and Beelink being popular. Thanks to the 11/11 sale you can get this AMD Ryzen 7 5800U 8 core, 16 thread variant with a 512GB M.2 SSD and 16GB RAM. This one is quite unique in that it has a performance dial allowing you to change the CPU power from low to high if you wanted to increase the performance for gaming, or lower it for more simple tasks to save power.

ETA Prime has reviewed the weaker 5700U variant here and loved it, so this one with the better 5800U should be even better for gaming and performance tasks.

Other features included 2x M.2 NVMe/SATA SSD slots, 2x dual channel DDR4 SODIMM slots, HDMI 2.0 4K@60Hz, DP 4K@60Hz, USB-C with DP out, 4x USB 3.0, Gigabit ethernet, Wifi 6, Bluetooth 5.2 and 3.5mm audio jack.

For the CPU cooling there's an inbuilt fan and RGB lighting. Since this is a barebones PC you can swap out the RAM and SSD for your own.

  • Hi @Clear, any deals on the Lenovo Xioaxin tabs please? Thanks!

    • Only had a brief look and didn't see anything impressive.

  • This will sing.
    Here's the R7-5700, Intel N100, R7-5800 comparison benchmarks

  • How does it compare to https://www.amazon.com.au/AMD-Ryzen-5800H-Computer-Graphics which is around $10 more?

I think the H uses more power, but probably performs better

Edit: Had a quick look and it seems the U doesn't perform much worse, if at all, especially in single core. Probably not worth the extra TDP of the H, although not sure what it's like in gaming

  • few of the other mini pcs have good prices but i guess the warranty is no existent.

  • +1
