    7" frame is around this price for quite some time .. k-mart even had it for $29

      Agreed. $82 for a 7" digital photo frame is hardly a bargain.

    Feel free to correct me if Im wrong but the cheaper ones were without avi playback and speakers (I thought). This is a reasonable price for something that can playback videos on etc or plug into your tv.

    dont buy 7" frame. The width and height ratio is not good for showing photos.

      I don't think it's that comparable though. But Kmart one does its job (displaying photos), and a photo frame that shows videos is kind of freaky to me :)

    The special offer for kmart was only for a photo frame that displayed jpg - no video out / no avi etc.

    This is an inexpensive, 7" media player :) You can playback your videos on this using cards. Though … since it looks like it needs wall outlet power … it's not suitable for my purposes … (eg travelling around on public transport, planes, etc) … and the resolution is a little odd 480*234 …

    One of the benefits is the "surprise" picture where you freeze a still, maybe with music, and have a tiny movement revealed here and there (like someone saying Boo) …

    It can also be nice if you have little clips of people say, singing Happy Birthday to someone or just having fun.

    But yeah, if the other frames are $29 … it depends if you want to pay that much difference for a little extra functionality … or wait maybe another week or two for some more specials to come out …
