Phone is advertised as 24GB RAM = 12GB RAM + 12GB RAM Expansion
I guess you can 'download' more RAM.
12GB is still a great amount of ram though
More than the new base MacBook Pro.
Yes, yes I know, not comparable…but still funny.
You can download more ram ?
yeah off the torrent network, its free
@BP1983: Link bro
It will be a swap file on the SD card.
Wow Alot of phone for the price.
it sure is. thats why i purchased one
around mid November
Any ROMs I can flash this with?
if you can find a device tree for it then just build your own ;)
mediatek… good luck lol
Better off buying moto g54 than this.
that does seem like a good comparison, it has a better cpu for sure and has 5G. Ah well, live and learn, ill be happy with my purchase either way, ive never used 5G anyway and probably never will so that doesnt bother me.
5G anyway and probably never will , that's nieve to say the least . How long do expect this phone to last ? The rest of your life ?
sorry i should have said probably never will "for the life of this phone"
If your vaccinated you should be covered for 5G regardless
Well, you have 12GB of RAM and 256GB Storage :)
i gave a like. how exactly is moto better? trying to learn enough by reading such forums on OB
At least it has a well-known brand (Motorola), getting security updates, 5G connectivity with LOCAL Australian Bands. And LOCAL 2 years warranty!
by putting LOCAL in capital letters are you saying the blackview is not going to work in australia?
@BP1983: It will work …to a certain degree. There are different bands in 4G and 5G, most of the overseas phones (including iphones for china markets) are missing some bands for Australia. The usual symptoms are poor connectivities in certain areas. Also, overseas phones may not be compatible with VoLTE (voice on 4G), it will be a problem when the telcos switch off 3G next year.
For more info, you can search "missing 4g bands chinese phones"
@bobokingdom: so here is the list of bands it uses - https://en.kalvo.com/blackview-a200-pro-72247.html
is there a list of australian bands?
@BP1983: https://whirlpool.net.au/wiki/mobile_phone_frequencies
I hope these are correct. If both list are correct, it seems it does have the needed bands.
As long as your phone supports VoLTE with your provider, you will be fine.
@bobokingdom: good to know. thanks for checking.
Another Chinese cheap brand?
Mi, Oppo, Vivo and now this?
ive had an oppo phone for the last 5 years, couldnt fault it at all. it is now just too old for new apps, so i have to update
Looks like not a 5G phone, correct?
Otherwise could resist for that price
thats correct no 5G, but like i said in a previous comment, havent used 5g and probably never will "for the life of this phone"
for others it may not be the right phone for them
@BP1983: Once 5G, will not look back… the speed difference just too large when downloading large file…
@thomalfa: i dont do large files over 5G or mobile data, all of that gets done at home on high speed NBN
@thomalfa: Not entirely true in my case… I've found myself turning off 5g on my s20fe on occassions due to being at "deadspots" where 4g signal is somewhat stronger/less congested.
@jerdp: It depends where you are located… the worst is you stationed at location around the boundary… normally it confuses to recognise whether 4g or 5g and hence the mobile system switches around that cause all issue.
I am watching movies while travelling at constant moving from location to location hence not bothering me much as long as it has downloaded and given some buffer.
Especially with boost goes 5g and using telstra network even better, all those free data with burner numbers. Can’t complain much.
@BP1983: It's not the speed only. 5g works great in crowded places.
I had a blackview Alfie P1 pro back in 2015 or 16.
it was a decent phone
May want to consider JB-HiFi's 'Motorola Edge 30' sales/clearance -> https://www.jbhifi.com.au/search?page=1&query=motorola%20edg…

are the prices comparable??
comparable to what?
to this deal in price? can the higher prices be justified against the benefits vs this one?
it all depends what you need it for, this phone doesnt have 5g but other ones do, this one has more ram and storage than other ones. This phone has a little bit slower processor than others
do the costs of the edge outweigh the benefits? can you compare a cheaper fone with a midrange one? without factoring in price?
what the hell are you talking about?
Im only seeing $350.99, what am i missing?
the deal for the blue ones is now over, they are back to $449 so with discount gets you to $350.99
original said 24GB RAM. jeez that's more than in my kids' laptops combined
