I've read multiple places online (although none of them being from an official source) that the game only version comes with a cable. It seems the boxing has at least a good 2 cm more depth to accommodate the cable. Ubisoft only mentions the use of the separately purchasable second cable for another player to play along.
I'm not sure about store copies, but the steam version definately doesn't!
The fact that several shops are selling these as bundles indicates that the game doesn't come with a cable, but it sounds silly, as what possible use is the game without the cable?
Really? I have read the descriptions of "game only" versions and it says that they require the cable?
They said plainly that the cable isn't included? Hmm… with those versions I've never seen anything saying about not including a cable, but then again they never exactly say whether it is included or not. They mention the use and requirement of the cable, but that's about it… Very confusing marketing if you ask me!
Every unboxing on youtube that I've seen seems to include the cable, and I read that some reviews of the cable sold separately mention that the game already comes with a cable.
*I've noticed that the cable will be visible from the back of the boxing if it is included with the game, so take note of this if you are able to see it before you buy it. If you aren't able to see it before you buy, ask the store and they should be able to tell you :)
It is a bit weird. If there is a version without the cable, why don't any of the big UK online stores sell it? Even on the photo of the cover on the JB website, you can see the text 'Includes: A 1/4" jack to USB cable' in the bottom left.
The new big W catalogue has this for $78 for both PS3 and 360. I can't make out whether it says 'requires' or 'includes' the cable. Worth invesitagating though.

Can anybody confirm if either of these comes with the Bass kit? I know it did not originally, and there's an extra fee to download it as DLC…

I bought the 360 version and it is compatible with a bass out of the box :)
