I had a go-to butcher for Kievs, and I never found a better one, not through lack of trying. They make them on site. I feel like the quality has been dropping lately, the chicken is quite poor quality. I need a new go-to for my beloved kievs. Any suggestions? Not Aldi or Woolies, really good ones.

If you want to be pedantic, then no. Latinised Russian spelling is correct. The dish, not the city. And Kyiv is fine too.

Anyone for roast türkiye at xmas?
Not something I buy but maybe consider one of the markets.
Not sure which side of town you're in OP but I've heard good things about YarraRange chicken. I think there's one in Chaddie (closed for renos), and another in Westfield Knox.
I had one from Cannings ages ago that was pretty good. Dunno if they've stayed the same quality though.
Aldi frozen- $6.49 for 2 units.
I kn ow you said no to Aldi, and I am fussy with Kyiv. I used to have top shelf at the Sydney Hilton and Sydney Wentworth.
Biggest problem with butchers (and some pubs/clubs) these days is they use recycled crumbs from TipTop, and their crumbed meat tastes off. When you look at the ingredients, they contain fish oil.
I'll check out the frozen, I was thinking of the fresh ones. I mean the fresh ones aren't the worst thing I've tasted, at least they are consistent. And cheap.
it's Kyiv
